lol open your eyes, they are putting more effort into filtering out the player/silk buying bots from he bans then actually trying to get rid of botters.

you missed the point. for all your skeptical views on your perceived lack of effectiveness in bot banning by jm, you did recognise, in your own observation, grinding at higher level is now easier since the gold bots banning is "keeping the high level areas clear of them". that in itself is an improvement.

sure, gold bot companies will spam more new bots to level them again. but if jm keeps doing that, gold bot companies is not gonna be able to operate profitably and eventually wind up, i hope.

jm must have a way at detecting the gold bot patterns to be able to do this regularly of late. (cant be the good old whisper and watch bot log off or no response anymore).

hope jm will soon have a way in detecting player bots to complete the ridding of all bots. the same would apply ... player bots get banned, can spam new accounts and bot another, and if they get banned weekly, you think they are keen to start botting again from lvl 1? i think not, they'd quit sro altogether.

Actually, I'm having a very hard time grinding these days, because I have about 200 24/7 player bots all around me on Roc Mountain. Considering I sometimes see these people running into trees and rocks for 5 minutes (no exaggeration) I see no reason whatsoever why Joymax would have trouble detecting them if they'd send a few undercover GMs into the servers for an hour or 2. This thing has been going on for over a year now, is that really too much to ask?

Player bots care about getting a high level character the easy way; if they get banned there really is no reason for them to start botting again at level 1, because they'll never reach their goal if Joymax were to actually ban them on a regular basis. That's why I said: a little fear is all it takes to get rid of almost all the player bots; there is no need to detect each and every one of them. Sure, that means that many of them get away with having botted for a long time, but it will also prevent massive chargebacks, which is perhaps THE main reason for Joymax not to ban them at this point in time.

there a player 90 allready,

they are full farmed , easy,
I will need a few more month to achieve this .

If i pvp , or job, against a 90 , legit player,
He use the scrolls for HP , for damage reduce , he owns me because he have good gears that he tried hard to get.

I fight against a 90 , farmed at 300 mastery with his bot, buying gold, he gets D9+7 , or worse ( som , sun ) AND he use the godam silk item ( HP, damage reduce..)

I am happy that goldbot are banned . it makes me wants to support the game ( exmeple : buying items )
But i am sad you do not ban players ( level 90 ALLREADY !!! )
And you do not ban the multi account they make ( exemple : for power level many cleric as bot-support in war or pvp ) ( also the powerlevl for honor points , cheater get SUN very fast )
That makes me not want to play.

you think banning bot players make them fear? wrong!!!!!!!!! bot players dont require a lot of time to lvl up and farm their characters, if they get banned they will start over again. After one or two months they will be back at the same lvl and full farmed. you cant stop bot players however you can stop gold botters by banning the gold buyers or keep on banning gold bots.

depends if they buy silk or not on their lvl. But I agree that if JM keeps this up, then botters will get sick of only reaching lvl 3x to 4x lol

bot player DO fear to get banned,
not because the level or sp,
but because of the HUNDREDS $$ ( thousands ? ) they input into the goldbuying/ item buying for the character.

An important note to consider if you want this problem to be resolved :
Where are the goldbot from ?
goldcompany ? > no, few of them .
actually, most of the golbots are run from single individual, mostly on the server where they play
1st buying anything they needs thanks to theyr little ants-army
2nd selling the "too much" for low price to goldcompany.

The majority of the bots banned range from 2x- very early 4x. Mostly 3x's though which is a good sign. Although Kinda odd because I found out that I make more gold at lvl 42 than I do at 71 lol. My nuker 71 is losing gold on pots, while my 2H 42 has made 12 mil so far lol.
