i put Aria and 500 pt for size on one something i'm working on
( adobe CS5), and it's so tiny still.



but when i open a new one, it's huge, but the one i want to work on is tiny. WTH

Double check to see if 'Superscript' is not active. Also check your dpi to see if it's not too high, 72 is more than enough for web use.

i have to use free transform just to make it big, it's so annoying, anyone got a solution?

Back when I was photoshoping I had the same problem, a reinstall solved it for me.
