It's already been stated that this won't cause gas prices to climb dramatically...
the truth to that, I guess we will see

BP was only Legally required to dish out 75 million Dollars........... so 20 Billion is pretty dam generous

there doesnt have to be a reason for gas prices to increase. this should be obvious. there is no reason for gas to be the p rice that it is now. they have already made the money to cover the cost of this many times over.

Putting on sand doesn't help, the oil's pressure is just too big, theres a company here in Belgium called De Nul who gave a generous if they could try to close the gap by drilling deeper than BP, they say that thay can drill 2km deep and 1m wide compared to the 15cm drill bit BP has, but America turned them down.

Yeah you are right, but De Nul here in Belgium is famous around the world, they made every island on the coast in Dubai
so they know what they are doing.

Well if anyone knows what they're talking about, it's Kevin Costner. The man lived in a water world for FFS! He even has gills to go down and test his own machine. + he's been to all the oil conventions. Only down side is he's a liberal =(

the main reason for the nuke is due to the treaty it would be breaking. why russia is pushing for us to do it, that's to be left to our imagination.

Quote:
Government and private nuclear experts agreed that using a nuclear bomb would be not only risky technically, with unknown and possibly disastrous consequences from radiation, but also unwise geopolitically — it would violate arms treaties that the United States has signed and championed over the decades and do so at a time when President Obama is pushing for global nuclear disarmament.

i suggest you guys read the articles that are being linked.
