Tl;dr There's this girl I want to impress with my guitar skills. I've only recently started playing but I'd like to have some song I can play that at least makes it so I look like I know what I'm doing.

Ideas?

my advice to you is make sure you have a $600+ acoustic guitar. i'm an experience guitar player and i get soo when i see someone try to impress a girl by playing a song on a crappy cheap guitar that doesn't even sound good.

^^ yeah, and make sure you have a 100k+ car. im an experienced driver, and i hate when i see people trying to impress women with their shitty ford taurus.

you don't have to spend $600+ to buy a good guitar. I got my classical guitar for $500 and it sounds great. that said, if you're serious about playing..don't be afraid to spend money on a good guitar

I think you need to do something more manly, like change her oil. With your sensitive approach she might get the message that you're gay or something.

How about you find a band that she likes, research a slow acoustic song they play and sing that? Sounds logical to me. If all else fails learn Remembering Sunday - All time low.



On a side note, do you really think that singing a song to her will make her fall in love with you? If it does, how goddam shallow is she? Do you really want to be with someone like that? If you want to impress her and make her like you, do it by being a nice guy and impress her with your personality. After all that's what she is meant to be attracted to, right?
