Tl;dr There's this girl I want to impress with my guitar skills. I've only recently started playing but I'd like to have some song I can play that at least makes it so I look like I know what I'm doing.
Ideas?
*I know what your thinking, "Why is there a tl;dr without there even being a long wall o' text?". That, is because I'm lazy*.
Edit: Looking for accoustic songs. Some country song, or something pleasant like Nickle Creek.

Acoustic is what I had in mind. Sorry for not being specific. And she likes pretty much all sorts of music. I was thinking of something soft though. Like country or something like Nickle Creek.
my advice to you is make sure you have a $600+ acoustic guitar. i'm an experience guitar player and i get soo when i see someone try to impress a girl by playing a song on a crappy cheap guitar that doesn't even sound good.

Do you think the girls knows if the guitar sounds good or not? i don't.
you don't have to spend $600+ to buy a good guitar. I got my classical guitar for $500 and it sounds great. that said, if you're serious about playing..don't be afraid to spend money on a good guitar
That song makes the women drop their clothes like there were no tomorrow.
otherwise go with the rick roll song.
uh I just listened to that song on youtube and I'm not sure if girls are going to like a loud song with lyrics that are like something from lord of the rings. they like slow ballad-type songs about love..

Good thing hes not trying to impress a person who has a Pen!s
unless. . .you have a Vagina. . .
In that case Hed be better off using the 600 dollars to buy 3 hookers
or just go to Thailand and live like a king with a whole harem of ladies ready and willing for 3 months.

The girls you know are pussies, but Blind Guardian - The Bard's Song is quite a nice song even if it isnt my music taste at all.
How about you find a band that she likes, research a slow acoustic song they play and sing that? Sounds logical to me. If all else fails learn Remembering Sunday - All time low.
On a side note, do you really think that singing a song to her will make her fall in love with you? If it does, how goddam shallow is she? Do you really want to be with someone like that? If you want to impress her and make her like you, do it by being a nice guy and impress her with your personality. After all that's what she is meant to be attracted to, right?
