Also the money I've made from my job goes to my bank account, so naturally I'd have access to it. I've never heard of not accessing it until age 18 :S How do you guys get money for everyday use? so then it'd be ok to hand a 7 year old a .45 colt Comparing a debit card to a gun, where one can kill someone and the other cannot, is idiotic. Nevertheless CeLL does have a point. And I ask again, how did you get money for everyday use? You're not telling me until the age of 18 your parents funded everything are you..What about job related money =\

I'm just saying having a gun requires responsibility, and I'm just asking in that point does letting a kid have a gun make them a better person when they get older Can you write this in correct English so we can understand and respond.

Okay, but I said a debit card and not a gun. Learning the value of money is an incredibly important aspect of life. There is much less risk involved than letting someone (a minor) learn the value of LIFE.
Not only that, but one is illegal and the other is not. Hence why your argument is invalid right away..
@ fiction/whoever else get lives plz...or go spam somewhere else.

Then they learn the value of money. BTW, I had a bank account when I got a real job, and that was 14. They had a extra account opened and they put money in there for me for when I was 18, same thing I'm going to do with my kid(s)

I see no difference in giving a kid a debit card or a 'piggy bank' (I had both). If you look over their bank statements you can easily see if they're abusing the card. I never really used mine until a later age, and most of the time it was with my parents (mostly because I'd never carry a wallet around). The luxury bank account you mention sounds like something entirely different though. Like a birthday present for turning 18.

Yes it was basically a birthday present, well it was actually a deal, if I got a 3.5+ GPA(all of hs) I'd get access to the account when I was 18. But as I said, I had my own when I started work, I had it when I needed it, so I could keep money in for insurance and such and the reason why its flawed to you is because you took more meaning out the comparison than I had attended, I had it on a vary narrow path of meaning, you strayed away
