I just did well in school and they said whatever works. If I did shitty in school I'm sure they'd have enforced some computer time-limit or some equivalent.

What are you going to college for?

Maybe use the gaming thing as a "I am going to work on computers/software/programming in college" prelude.

Undecided. I like the idea though.

Does any of you parents have a hobby?
My mom reads a shit tons (maybe more than I actually game)
And my father likes to go on bicycle rides (for like weekends)

Not that they want me to stop gaming, but when I told them it was MY hobby and they also had theirs, they understood.
Now, this is the tricky part: time for your parents to take their head out of their asses.
Your going to college next year, you're old enough to make your own decisions. (Thats how it worked for me)

BUT, if you still play sro and have a capped char, a +9 weapon and a full nova set or things like that; then they are right and you should stop MMOing. Start playing games that actually required skills to play (Ex: NHL, FIFA or Madden)

Not really? I mean, my dad's the pastor of a church. So that kind of is his job/hobby I suppose. Other then "ministry work" they don't do much. When I try to pull the hobby card they just blow it off and say things like, "Find a more, worthwhile hobby". Or go on some rant about it all just being fantasy and that the people I talk to aren't "real". Blah blah blah. *Guess that makes you guys ghosts eh? ; )*

I get A's in school. Top of my class. That's not it. They just dislike the hobby I've chosen.

2 hours a day isn't much at all... Personally, I'd mindfuck them right before college by saying I was going to study evolution right before going to college. Especially if they're the extreme religious type that believe in creationism.

Simply ask your parents the simple questionl, which is ofcourse, what else would you be doing with your time besides Gaming?

You would be;
Watching TV.
Talking with them and Socializing.

What your doing is Socializing, except with people you barely/don't know, and your also watching a form of TV, which is highly interactive.

Just tell them that you would just be doing that, which is another massive time waste and a braindull.

Now I'm 2000km away from them and I can do wuteva my muscles want to do, +1 for abroad shoolarship !!!
