Isolationism is terrible. Neutrality is great. Just look at Switzerland. Anyway the president doesn't have as much power as you think he does. Actually, the president isn't authorized to have as much power as you think he does. This country is not a command economy. It's built on the back of entrepreneurship. We only recently switched to this military-industrial-congressional complex backed by the federal reserve and it's killing us. Republics have a funny habit of turning into Corporatist machines when they get too large and the citizens fail to hold their representatives accountable.
