Kk so wait, I could play Crysis 2 on max settings because I'm technically using their hardware? How does that make sense.
U log on to their "service" select one of the games u own, start their hardware processes everything u do and sends the images to ur screen downsides: to have the same graphic quality on ur screen, u'll need a very very good internet connection (both download (to see the HQ images) and upload (so there won't be lag on what u do) games will be on their servers, so byebye mods u don't physically own the game, so if ur account gets hacked; u lose a lot of money
I had this idea several years ago, but back then I was on dialup (serious) and thought sending the images would be a problem. Not so much now with how much bandwidth is available.
They say they give you 60 FPS and such, but when I used it the resolution wasn't like 1920x1080. It was like a youtube video to be honest. Great for netbooks/nettops but meh for desktops.
Great idea but very limited until the bandwidth limitations are increased.

This is what Cloud Computing is. You have 1 Computer on a Network with a program on it, all of them can use it. Windows 8 is gonna be using Cloud Computing and Cloud applications. If you have a remote login setup, you could for instance Play WoW at work from your home computer as long as it's on. It's kinda like taking Remote Desktop to a whole new level
Cloud as a side offering I don't mind but as the only platform it can go suck one.

this. I don't want even less confirmation that I own my games, nor dealing with all the lag.
There is no lag. Really, have you tried their system? Currently they're only in the US but servers will be coming to UK and Belgium later this year / early 2012. I'm just very impressed with how far they've come already.

Onlive is quite for somewhile in the market, over one year or so, I have it for more then half a year and it's nice to have it, even so the worst part is that it depends alot on your internet speed.

I can see that the bandwidth limitations imposed by most ISPs will be a killer for this type of gaming. But I think as time progress It won't be a problem...This will be one of the pushers for ISPs to upgrade their networks to fiber to the home.

One: I don't want some company being able to come up with some bullshit excuse, and taking away all the games I might have purchased from them.
Two: What if I have no internet connection at the time for one reason or another? No games at all.
Three: Considering it relies on internet download and upload speed for quality, there can be any number of problems, that you wont run into if you just spend a little money on getting a computer that can run it anyways. It isn't that expensive these days to get a computer that can run pretty much any game at a good quality.

Considering I lack the hardware to play any decent games now days, it seems like something I would give a try. I don't even come close to my upload/download limits (those things are crazy high now days, seriously) so a few hours of gaming a week won't blow it over the top. Pretty cool concept as well.
