Pretty much it shows us what technological advances we will make in the future. For instance, in 2050 humanity is at a crossroads. Its quite an interesting read. However, some are like ehhh, not sure if thats true or not, but they do give you a little article for each entry.

I've seen it before. Well.. some article are pretty shrewd. lulz
