Which would you prefer to live in? Past? Present? Future? Be specific.

I've always liked the idea of living in the middle ages. I don't know why. I realize it can't possibly live up to the romanticized version of it that I have in my head, but eh.

If I could have lived my teenage years through the 90s I'd be real happy. I wish I was born 10 years earlier :[

I've always wanted to live in Ancient China, maybe Japan. The culture there is awesome. Ancient Egipt has also got an interesting culture, but I don't like the climate.

Knowing what we have now living in the past would be a disaster, I'd want to live in the humans' most technological advanced era.

Btw how come no one is talking about 2012 apocalypse yet :P

I love the romanticized past but I know it would suck to actually live in that time period given what I already know about the present...So I'd rather live in a distant future in some futuristic metropolis like the one shown the venus project....A future that harmonises techonolgy and nature....

That big ball of fire in the sky could work sometimes.

I'ma go ahead and say future, for some holodeck type stuff. No need for batteries. I can fly my tiny rc helicopter as long as I want, rather than 5 mins ;x lol.

Roman times. I would love to see gladiators fight to the death. Also the orgies.

I mean, if I had to. You have to do what they did back then or else they begin to speculate that you are a time traveling pedophile and make you into one of their gods.

Middle age, so we could focus on important things like sword fighting and how to kill a man with one punch.

Not very fond of the past/present. I'd love to be around when we start colonizing other planets.

The past involves a lack of hygiene, lack of decent medical facilities, no creature comforts and in many cases oppression and poverty. We have no idea what the future would be like, so any speculation is pointless as we can't determine if it would be a positive or negative experience. Hell, we can't even guarantee that the human race will still be kicking in the future. So the present seems like the only logical answer to me. Make this lifetime work and you'll have nothing to fear :)

I think most people could guess which time period I'd prefer to live in!

I'd also would love to live in Victorian London, probably around the time Jack The Ripper was around.... Odd I know?
