I like the layout. It's clean and very easy on the eyes.
As for the new features, i really only like the preview screens for running apps and the slide up quick menu. The animations are unnecessary and a burden, and I hate that the lock screen sort of fades in instead of instantly coming on.
Overall I'm not that happy with it

Well, it looks like they put everything under a steamroller. I updated my other phone to it, but didn't really see any major improvements. As Curve said, I really hate the fading lock screen.
On my HTC One I'm running Cynagenmod, which I prefer much more to iOS now.

There's small animations for pretty much everything now and I really don't like it. Opening groups of apps, opening the running apps, switching to different apps, etc. It's like a millisecond delay but it's noticeable and it sucks.

This and I've had to turn off several settings due to how much it eats my battery life (3D background, People near me etc etc.)
