I only have 1 hour for the next guy to have his turn. I had informed most of my relatives around the world that my family is okay. FB, Skype, YM did tons of help with communications. Cant show you guys pictures cuz everythings' drenched. DO NOT SEND ANY MORE DONATIONS! - we already got plenty, problem is sending them out to small villages is gruesome.
We'll be moving away from the Tacloban to relatives over at Mindanao. We have nothing left from the storm, barely got anything for the 2 day trip by land later. Either way, we have secured safety away from this hell.
It sucks what happened to these places in the Philippines. To make things worse, instead of scrambling to help out the desperate people in need, the politicians are more concerned about stealing billions of donation money from other countries and placing their name/picture/ad on every bag of relief goods being given out. Disorganized efforts and corrupt politicians makes for a bad combination. I did hear that the food is plenty but the lack of means (vehicles/gas) to transport them and the way it's distributed (1 meal at a time) is what's preventing it from getting into the right hands.
