If really actually believe that then you should try leaving your house from the protecting of your computer screen and go to some neighborhood were mostly one particular race/group hangs out and start your "non intentional" racial jokes and see if they understand....even when you explain to them its just a joke.....

Edit:The chances of someone taking any small thing I do offensively are already great. That's just how the world is and unless you are super politically correct all the time, someone's bound to get offended. Also there's a giant difference between being a racist and playing to a stereotype. It's a stereotype that asians love rice, although every asian friend of mine has a pot of white rice ready to go at all times, and so it's harmless to poke fun at. If I were to say I hate those chinky eyed gooks, then yes, that could be considered racist. Huge difference between both of those statements. Also no offense to anyone by what I said, just making my point.

There is a huge difference between carrying on as normal while someone take offense and coincidentally making a racial/stereotypical comment right in front of the very people the comment is directed at... The latter is pushing it a bit far in terms of social manners so stop reaching for straws...No one is saying you should be or anyone should be politically correct all the time...but there is a time and place for things... But I bite my tongue here because in this case the internet is always the right time and place for some to let loose moments of idiocy... .curve wrote: Also there's a giant difference between being a racist and playing to a stereotype. Also no offense to anyone by what I said, just making my point. Again you assume that if it is just a stereotypical comment it should be perceived as such and no harm done in the name of fun....So again I urge you to exercise it...Have some of your asian friends invite you to one of their ceremonial gatherings/feast and once you're there walk around the place and start saying to the other party members you don't know "Hey, I am here to be yellow and eat rice like the rest of you"....Let me know how that turn out please....
You're either trolling or something..

You don't get it, I simply don't care if you're offended. You're the one that has to deal with your irrationality, you know what I do when others are "offensive" ? Nothing, no such concept for myself and no reaction follows.
Since your first response you declared 2 very specific adjectives about yourself that I'll keep to myself, dismissible is my conclusion.

Once a pointless argument has reached this number of posts about it, I stop reading said posts.

Yes...The rest of the world are clones of you (or should be)...That's right sorry I forgot...You seem to write the book on what's rational for everyone else as well...I had no clue...Love wrote: Since your first response you declared 2 very specific adjectives about yourself that I'll keep to myself, dismissible is my conclusion. Why hold back on those 2 very specific adjectives?...Why now?...Why the concern for you have to say?...Your level of maturity and naivety is what you've revealed to me since your first post...

Spending a couple of minutes articulating any issue from time to time is never a bad thing, self review it's often desirable.
