I'm wondering if any of you know of a site that sorts vehicles by criteria such as price, reliability, and fuel efficiency. Thinking I need a new car, had I done more research, I never would have gotten the car I have now, it's nice enough, and roomy, but the reliability leaves something to be desired.

I keep hearing good things about Hyundai.
I don't want to like them, but so cheap, so nais looking, and from what I've heard, quite reliable.

My 2012 Honda Civic has been a blessing with how much commuting I do.
I usually average about 34 MPG around town and up to 44 MPG+ on the highways.
I got a little unlucky and my catalytic converter started having problems around 30k miles, but it was still under warranty so they fixed it no problemo. I also bought the car new back in 2011

Wait until next year. Toyota is coming out with a car that runs on hydrogen, produces electricity and can power you home for a week. It will also get around a 300 mile range. Quote: The Toyota model will produce 100 kilowatts of power, which is roughly equal to 134 horsepower, the same as a Prius. It will have a zero-to-60 miles per hour time at about 10 seconds, and possibly less, and a range of 300 miles.
LaRocque said that 300-mile range will be key to the success of fuel cell vehicles. It is about four times what’s offered in all the electric cars on the market now, with the exception of Tesla’s Model S. Also, look into the Tesla Model S

Tesla cars are 6 figure cars. Low 20k is the most I'll be spending.

We could of avoided a lot of this if you had mentioned your price range first.

Buy a used car with low mileages, you could afford x2 of them for the price of a new one.

The only way this actually ever works out is if you buy a car from some old person who never drove it anywhere/didn't abuse it. Sadly, those are so rare.

Sadly, those are so rare. 5 cars here thus far and they have all made it to at least 150k before we got rid of them. Got one nearing 200k now. I imagine there is an element of luck involved but also health of market in your area. My household usually goes for non fancy cars with good reliability scores under 35k miles.
