Some of you will know already what folding is but for those who dont its simple creating proteins in 3d space on your computer for medical science. essentially creating a supercomputer to render these complex imagines to help us understand and hopefully cue dieseases Anyone can fold even on a laptop iv only just started myself but to do it simply download the client from here http://folding.stanford.edu/And your good to go. If anyone is interested iv started a suddendeath gaming group team id: 201654, good to see what we can do post your usernames here so we can see each others progress SD-Quickstream

Use to do this for EOCF (extreme overclocking forum) under the name Somebodynew. At one time I was the top producer for the team with around 10k ppd. I don't know what I'm ranked on the team now... haven't folded in a long time. At one point I had several dedicated machines. It can get addicting.
Now that I split my electricity bill with 3 other people I can't fold.

I downloaded this program, but I can't get it to take more than 12% of my CPU, even if I want. Maybe I sat it up incorrectly?

This was about 6-7 years ago though, I introduced everyone I know to folding once I got tired of seti@home. I believe we have a better chance of curing cancer or Alzheimer's or other diseases than finding extraterrestrial life.
