I need to start reading again. I feel like I'm getting stupider or something.
So any suggestions?
Anything 'cept Romance and horror.

The Hunger Games is a pretty simple and easy book to pick up with an interesting story, despite blowing up among the young girl community lately.

If you like Greek mythology and Ancient Egyptian magic and myths, then I suggest you read some books by Rick Riordan.

He has three series
-Heroes of Olympus (most recent of the series and still in the works)
-Percy Jackson and the Olympians (only series I've gotten around to read and loved it)
-Kane Chronicles (Ancient Egyptian)

Rick Riordan's website

I'm currently reading books by Bill Bryson. It's books in which
he writes about his travels, contains general information about
places he's been, an interesting view on things he ponders about
during his trips and lots and lots of sarcasm. All non-fiction but
a good and easy read. Last fantasy books I read were the Heritage
series.

I'm reading The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand right now and it is a great read.

Synopsis from Wiki:
Quote:
The Fountainhead's protagonist, Howard Roark, is an individualistic young architect who chooses to struggle in obscurity rather than compromise his artistic and personal vision. The book follows his battle to practice what the public sees as modern architecture, which he believes to be superior, despite an establishment centered on tradition-worship. How others in the novel relate to Roark demonstrates Rand's various archetypes of human character, all of which are variants between Roark, the author's ideal man of independent-mindedness and integrity, and what she described as the "second-handers." The complex relationships between Roark and the various kinds of individuals who assist or hinder his progress, or both, allow the novel to be at once a romantic drama and a philosophical work. Roark is Rand's embodiment of the human spirit, and his struggle represents the triumph of individualism over collectivism.

Choke by Chuck Palahniuk (fiction)
Any novels by Kurt Vonnegut (fiction)
9 Stories by Salinger (fiction)
1Q84 by Murakami is a hit-or-miss depending on your tolerance of Japanese weird-shit-ness (fiction)
Freakonomics/Super Freakonomics by Levitt/Dubner (non-fiction)
and the one I'm planning to read is Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell (non-fiction)
