It's not big in Estonia, so I don't follow it.

Understandable that you don't follow it in NL or NZ, it's alot of rules n shit you dont know, makes the game harder to understand!

Penguins ftw! Will be a tough season this year tho, any guess who'll win the nhl?

As a Canadian it always bothers me when people call it ice hockey. It's just hockey damnit! Only Dutch women play field hockey.

<- Calgary Flames fan. Can it be 2004 again?

True, but you need to say Icehockey here, incase ppl can't tell the difference between land hockey and icehockey, or americans calling american football, football, when football is when u use ur feet or as they'd call it soccer :)

I'd say when I think about Flames, I think about Theo Fleury, what an epic player

Gallagher got demolished yesterday by the flyers.. So did pacioretty... We won 4 - 1.. Flyers are such sore loosers. "Oh we are loosing lets just hurt them for fun". What bs.

oh yea thats some retro flames right there. Theoren was able to carry his team.
Iginla used to be able to carry flames but he is getting a bit old now to be able to make as much impact.

I love watching the penguins play they have the two top nhl players at the moment who can play together so fluidly it makes me think of the gretzky and kurri

He was fantastic until the mental trauma of the sexual abuse during his junior career caused him to turn to alcohol. I'm really glad he was selected to the 2002 Canadian Olympic team and got to win that gold medal.

I'd say that Crosby and Malkin are more like Gretzky and Messier. The only time they're on the ice together is the powerplay as they both play centre. Kurri's stats got a lot of help from Gretzky. I mean the man put up 215 point in one season and 163 of those points were assists.

true true. I actually think that gretzky got a lot from kurri. kurri got carried hard but kurri enabled gretzky the space to create the unique plays we all practise hours and hours to achieve. Messier and gretzky together was a dream team but unfortunately they didnt achieve what we expected of them together.... even though that line dominated the nhl for a couple of years

Kurri had 102 pts the season after Wayne was traded, Wayne had 114 assists that year. Kurri never went over 100 points again, Wayne went over 120 points 5 of the next 6 seasons. The only one he didn't he only played 45 games.

4 Stanley Cup rings isn't enough for you?

Kinda like how the Habs started trying to hurt the leafs when they got destroyed only to get destroyed physically by the leafs?

Bleh leafs suck anyways, and habs are pussies when it comes to fights, they wouldn't be able to hurt a fly if they tried.

actually no. what i meant was that as a line partner, kurri was paired with gretzky a lot more and i think was involved a lot more in making gretzky a great player. kurri wasnt the greatest of attacking lines that gretzky had played on but that certainly didnt let him down in fact all it did was began the great ones legacy.

besides... i dont know how high you consider players like mario lemieux, jagr, ovechkin or crosby but i think messier and gretzky were the two best players no doubt.

(ok im excluding howe there.. XD)

Wow, Flames and Jets are my teams but looks like the Jets are not performing that well. How about that hat trick Cammy got in the 7-4 victory over the Stars? That brought a huge smile to my face.

In my opinion the top 5 NHL players of all time are 1. Wayne Gretzky, 2. Bobby Orr, 3. Gordie Howe, 4. Mario Lemieux, 5. Mark Messier.
