Is f'ing amazing, At first when i listened with my shitty laptop speakers it felt rushed, but after listening it in my car studio/headphones it sounds ridiculously amazing. He just takes synths, trance, EDM, soul, reggae, conscious rap, the usual bitching, to the extremes. Kinda like MBDTF with some 808s, but way more raw and ridiculous.
Cue hater bitches and hater kids

Really didn't like it, gonna give it another go tonight probably. It's mostly rap that takes a long time to grow on me so I'll probably try it 3-4 times before saying I hate it.
Deluxe edition rumored (probably confirmed by now) to have 4 bonus tracks and will come out on the 18th.
The instruments and general sound of the album might sound like a big mess but you really grow into them after a few listens. I love how he went full on experimental with this album although still keeping some classic Yeezy (Heavy use of samples, funny lines and his character). I personally love Bound 2(Good old soul Kanye), Hold my Liquor (Keef is decent on hooks) and On Sight (motherfucking Daft Punk). I just wish he had more features on it.

I have to say as good as some of the songs are I am super dissapointed by the track with keef on it. I was expecting him to rap on it but nope yeezy had to ruin my dreams.

Keef sucks at rapping so having him on the hook is a good move in my book
yeh the album definitely grows on you. Basically i like all the tracks except i feel like On Sight kinda switches on and off on the beat weirdly (then again the whole albums weird af) Also the beats on Guilt Trip make me rofl everytime Lyrics could be better but eehhh the production makes up for it
"Baby girl hes a loner/ late night organ donor/after that he'll disown ya" "Uh, black girl sippin' white wine Put my fist in her like a civil rights sign" "They see a black man with a white woman At the top floor they gone come to kill King Kong"

After some 5 or 6 plays of the album ive decided I like the beats I just dont like the way he had people rap over it plus the autotune killed a lot of the songs blood on the leaves gets so much better after he drops the autotune.
The beats are awesome ofc, I know what you are sayin about more rapping and less autotune, but i really doubt Kanyes gonna go back to his older lyrics-based stuff, maybe hopefully in Watch the Throne 2. I can't get over the 2nd part of Hold My liquor with the guitar riff, its ridiculous.
If you guys are into his older stuff with the soul, heres a really nice track from RZA's movie.
Also whenever you are struggling to separate Kanye's douchiness ( ) and his music talent, just watch this;

Stereotypical self-entitled rapper talking about money, drugs, and bitches. Nothing new to see here and it just goes to show that hype is all about the name and not the music these days.

Stereotypical ignorant poster superficially judging without actually listening to any tracks. Goes to show all the hate is about the name and not the music.

What kind of music do you listen to curve?
Music with no lyrics
Some. A little EDM, a little rock, a little indie, a little rap. Pretty much anything that just sounds good. I go to Coachella, that's all I have to say.

I listened to the album after my initial post just to make sure I wasn't full of shit. Adding in a bunch of weird sounds and calling it "experimental" doesn't make it good.
It's really nothing new. Like I said, money, drugs, and bitches like every other rapper.

If you generalise everything like that then how do you listen to music?
Man don't act like the production of the album is not on point though.
He's pushing the envelope and I'd love to see you argue that. I mean he never was a lyricist but he knows how to play around with different sounds. Plus at least 3-4 songs is him talking about his fight against corporations and how we're becoming the "new slaves" of modern society.

Generalizations are formed from anecdotal evidence. If I turn on the radio and tune it to whatever the rap station is, 99/100 times I'm going to be hearing about the same thing.

Production wise, it's a lot of weird, out of place sounds that really have no flow to the song. I'm personally not a fan at all.
