Lol, I was actually about to get one but no, I didn't get to that stage. :P
Just played with my friends for the most part... good way to have fun with others and be active cuz that game is way more tiring than I thought it would be when I started playing it! :banghead:

hehehe you should start doing the coaching thing if you play it.What kind of racket do you use?
Right now i use a really shit one.
in April i might buy either:
Combination 1
Butterfly Kong LingHui Special blade (arylate carbon)
Butterfly SRIVER G2 rubber or Butterfly SRIVER

Combination 2
Butterfly ..... Ai Special blade (carbon)
Butterfly SRIVER
Everybody likes Ai-chan ^^

Combination 3
Double Happiness Hurricane King Blade
Double Happiness Hurricane rubber

Ill doubt ill get combo 2 since Ai-chan is a girl the racket is more for girls and less for guys lol, but its light and fast.
obviously ill get some fair chack , side taps ,pakkun care sponge.protective film etc etc

What you think i should get?

Heck Ya! I used to play a lot with my family. Then I got to good for anyone and no one plays me anymore. I never got into any leagues or anything but I'm still a decent player. Currently I use my very own custom paddle I made in woodshop :D , nothing special but it gets the job done. I would play more but I can't find a good match.

I used to play table tennis area competition, but it's been a while. :) The type of bat you need depends greatly on your playing style. I used to be a 2m behind the table spin attack player, so my rubbers (yes, indeed ;) ) were the high spin high control type medium speed type of 1.8mm. If you know your playing style, check the stats of the different bats and rubbers you can buy, and decide accordingly. http://www.megaspin.net/store/comparerubber.asp?sort= might be helpful in this.

I  tennis with a passion. Table tennis for me is....meh. It's good once in a while, but 99% of the time I'd rather be outside playing tennis. :D

well table tennis imo takes more co-ordination, whereas tennis takes more endurance and running. I'm OK at tennis, but I like table tennis a bit better. Don't really know why... I think it's more exciting :D . Whenever I want to run, I'd rather run or just do something soccer-related :P

Hmm, based on what I've read so far, the hurricane 2 might be a good rubber for you then, 2.0 or 2.2mm depending on your preference. I personally prefer a 1.8mm slower rubber with more spin/control like the Tibhar Vari Spin rubbers.

On another note: I grew up watching the table tennis shows between Jacques Secretin and Vincent Purkart. Does anyone have any recordings of those shows? I've been searching on the internet, but so far all I found were descriptions of the shows, and a link to their no longer functional website.

holy shit, i never thought that i'd meet people who play table tennis in SRO

xuchu, how old are you? If you're around my age, you might know about the USA Cadet Team. I've been playing professionally for 5 years, and I made the team in 2003.

And you play with professional equiptment too lol. interesting

I play with the Joola Rosskopf Force blade and both sides of Joola Air. I am currently sponsored by Joola.

it'd be nice to get to know u more xP
