Anyone here who's watched Xam'd? Judging by the art style it's pretty old, but so far it's quite good. The animation quality is very high, with Lots of very good motions. You gotta search the net a bit for the subs though :[
Worth the wait, I'll say. Kishi's reference to DBZ and YuYu Hakusho were definitely unexpected. And yes, One Piece is finally getting exciting again. =D

Son Goku is actually a monkey king that was imprisoned by the Buddha or some shit like that. It's a Chinese story but I forgot exactly how it went. Nice chapter though, can't wait to see what happens next.

There are actually tons of crossover in Japanese manga because a lot of them are derived from myths.
Spoiler!
I do like where this is going. Now the battle doesn't seem as overwhelming as first introduced.

Son Goku was the king of all monkeys born from a rock. As is, he was a troublemaker and had issues obeying rules. However, he was incredibly gifted in fighting, magic, etc. As a result, in order to ensure he was able to be controlled, the god council gave him a position as the godly "stablekeeper". When he found out what the position truly was, he got super pissed and went on a rampage. None of the gods could stop him and heaven was nearly destroyed. It wasn't until Buddha himself stepped in and challenged son goku to a contest. If goku could escape buddha's palm, he would win. Of course buddha's palm is all-encompassing, but goku didn't know that. Goku flew for hours and reached the "pillars holding up the world". He pisses on them and returns to buddha. Only to have buddha show him he failed since the "pillars" was actually buddha's fingers. Buddha even showed goku the marking he left. Goku thinks buddha cheated, but in the end buddha won and punishes goku by trapping him under a mountain. Hoping that 1000 years would teach the monkey some manners. It wasn't until the traveling monk meets him that he is released and joins the monk on his journey to the west.
Course that's the story as I heard it when I was a kid.

Watched Sam'd, pretty awesome although not completely satisfied by the ending, I wanted even more happy ending factor.

I picked this up after the first 2 chapters and then releases just stopped; for months. I would look into it time and time again but nothing, no news, no reasons why, nothing.
But is here now so yay.

Just got done with the 238th episode of One Piece a couple of days ago and I must say I'm really liking this over Naruto.. in some aspects to be more precise.
You don't even need to skip them. The only boring fillers OP ever had were the Foxy arcs (I assume they're fillers anyway... I don't read the manga (nor Naruto, nor Bleach, that's why I stayed away from this topic for so long)) And even the Foxy Arcs weren't horrible at all. And I believe there's a few gags they've continued from there (like luffy screaming 'noro~' in slowmotion when Hancock tried turning him into stone)
