and I dont feel like reading everything anyone care to resume? I want to talk about evolution and creationism again. I'll start off by saying: Where did god come from? If you say "he's always been there". How is that possible? When did time start? If you say "He made himself". How is it possible to make yourself? If you say "he appeared one day". Matter cannot be created or destroyed. If you say "He's not matter". Then what is he? time is not real
I actually believe that too.
I don't believe in linear or cyclical time, I think this "." is time. And it is what it is. The past or future doesn't matter, for now is now... I don't really mean it that way, I mean like what happened happened and there is no way of going back, as cyclical or linear time may suggest. Because in linear time, it's |-----------------|. There are different points in history, so what's keeping you from going back? Same with cyclical.
But I think that there is no time, now is now, and that's all there is.
It's quite hard to explain, but yes.

and no my textbooks, and teachers are 100% politically correct.
in other worlds, in thier lit fantasy world there is no such thing as "in the beginning they did it to themselves"
there is only
"slavery was terrible and all our fault (white people) dont try 2 argue with my logic or i will write you up for being rascist against your own race"
EDIT: heres an explanation of what i said.
EUs where pathetic for doing raids
Native Africans were pathetic for helping
teachers dont lie, they say that it was all the white peoples fault
and that the white man did this and that.
coming from a bunch of white history teachers in thier 20s, its kinda funny.
heres the truth.
EUROPEAN INTERVENTION DESTROYED AFRICA
IT DESTROYED YEARS OF HERITAGE AND HISTORY
IT LEFT MANY AFRICANS[SLAVES] WITHOUT A CULTURAL BACKGROUND 2 TRULY CALL THIER OWN.
WHAT HAPPENED THEN STILL AFFECTS 2DAY, JUST LOOK AT AFRICAN AMERICANS, AND TELL ME STUFF IS FED UP.
JUST LOOK AT RECENT AFRICAN HISTORY AND STILL STUFF IS FED UP.
NOW TRY EXPLAINING THIS 2 A BUNCH SOUTHERN HISTORY TEACHERS.
my textbooks leave EVERYTHING OUT!
my teachers are IGNORANT!
every thing the EUs have touched have been left in ruins.
meh more chaotic stuff

They also tried to make it seem that after the Civil War that everything was peaceful and the african americans stood up and took there place in society but that's wrong. The slaves where never free. They still had that slave mentality and the time after the Civil War was one of the most violent times in the history of the WORLD. More violent than the civil war as a matter of fact. Yup, people treated blacks even worse because they now eren't their slaves. And they thought it dispicable because their ex slaves now were supposed to have the same freedoms as whites.
Even when they made it legal for blacks to vote, people still found legal ways to keep them from voting.
Like literacy tests. A white guy walks in, they give him a paper that says "If you can read this, say 'aye'."
Black man walks in they give him a paper that says "What is the 6th word of the 2nd sentence of the 1st paragraph in the Articles in the United States Constitution?"
And many other hard things.
M'yes.

those raids weren't pathetic and yes they had spies as in any conflict but they supplied the kings with guns AND the civilians with guns. This conflict caused civil wars to break out all over the continent fueled by European money and weapons. With the kings attention focused elsewhere Europeans did away with trading and began burning entire villages to the ground with the fighter in civil war no one was left to really oppose them. By the time the ppl realized what was going it was to late civil wars had severely weakened many African empires and the kings lost much of their power eventually just becoming colonies for the Europeans. You can compare it to recent middle east conflicts over the last 50 years, a region divided cannot defend itself from outsiders.

Evolution. Science and faith should never go together. Religion is good-its morals and such are healthy, but there are people in this world that take religion too far. Putting your entire life, faith, and thoughts into a little book written by humans a thousand years ago isnt very smart.

Royal the same way the Queen of England is Royal. African monarchs have no real power anymore. Money=Power and ALL the industries in africa are controlled by Western organizations. So the ppl outside the country end up having more power than the actual king.....its sad really

I have to agree with this, religion should be used for morale and value, since most of them are good. Don't use it to make law, or explain stuff, you are free to use it to explain stuff like death or others thing that science cant prove.
And I treat the bible like i treat wikipedia, I wont trust something i could have write by my own.

1. yes, but existance, matter and whatever else is in the entire space continuim has to comefrom somewhere, but where?
2. i think, god was portrayed for little childeren, like santa, easter bunny etc, parents saying: of your not good, you will go to hell and so on, and eventually someone decided to say: hay, what if all this is real?
3. +1
@ raingul
1. that question turns into a vicious circle, where did what made god come from, and so on.
2. you do not make yourself, but you improve yourself, like evoloution, we started as weak forms of life, so if there was a god, couldnt this happen to him/her/it?
3. (this isnt directly pointed at you) why is god portrayed as a man?, simply because (dont want to sound sexist here or anything) but males are the dominant species, especialy in islam.

maybe existence didn't come from somewhere maybe it just was. I can't put that into better words but sometimes its pointless to think about the beginning of existence when it feels like something like that cannot possibly have a beginning or ending.

Everything has to start somewhere, and maybe things just created themselves.

My mindset is willing accept that somethings don't being or end they just always and forever will be.

Chance -> BANG! -> expansion -> 6/10 dimensions collapse -> 4 remaining.
Time, is a measurement of the expansion of this universe (the 4th dimension). When it hits a threshold, the universe will implode on itself.
Our existence is a byproduct of this very process.

keyword in that who statement...i don't believe in god and i don't think the creation of the universe was a random accident. I would even be willing to believe that a giant cosmic turtle sneezed everything out before i put confidence the the former mentioned options. The universe imo is clearly a cycle of death and rebirth....just an endless dream that replays itself for a reason i don't think i can comprehend right now

so my implosion idea is not a pile of BS, cool
of course it would be tied in with physics.
all this time i thought it would be tied in with astronomy [i get them mixed up :S].
no wonder i couldnt find any evidence 2 back me up, on aim

Astronomy plays a role in it too, for example one piece of evidence for the big bang theory is that the universe is expanding.

but they use physics and trig/stat 2 explain the big bang
[tried 2 read a book on the big bang, but i ended up actually calculating things ><]

1]Where did god come from? If you say "he's always been there". How is that possible? When did time start?
I don´t know how it´s possible for God to have always been there, but for me God is in the essence of everything , that means both living things and socalled "dead" things like rocks and um I dk say a spoon. Lol. God is as someone said energy and in matter there is energy no matter what that thing is. Therefor everything is of God. I also believe that God is the essence of nothing, because in this dimension we need things of the opposite to experince what we are... there God is both that which is and that which it isnt. Lol, hope this makes any sense. Time I think is a product of our own mind, an illusion we submit ourself under we we are in the physical world when in reality everything is happening at once. Thats why I believe psychics and such can see into the "past" or "future", they just tap into another part of the time that is now.
2]If you say "He made himself". How is it possible to make yourself? Tricky one... I guess its a matter of faith. =P We know for now that Big Bang is the start, the triggerbutton for the birth of the universe, but where did Big Bang came from, if there was nothing before that what made Big Bang happen. The same thing can be asked about God. (maybe they are all the same) I know there are some theories that say that the universe will expand to a certain point and the retract to itself again, to such a small size that it will implode and create another Big Bang in and endless cycle... the Breathing of God one could say =) So I guess my answer is God was always here and she will never go away lol
3] If you say "he appeared one day". Matter cannot be created or destroyed. Exactly, therefor God just is... o.O
4]If you say "He's not matter". Then what is he?
She is energy and at the coreessence of that engery I believe is a thing called love, that is the true form of God. ^^

what I believe is that before the big bang there was no time no matter no nothing. But out of this vast nothingness came the vast system of space, time, matter, and energy that we now see as the universe. The explosion released all of the matter and energy that still exists in the universe today.

well my question is what caused the big bang???

I guess its a matter of faith. =P We know for now that Big Bang is the start, the triggerbutton for the birth of the universe, but where did Big Bang came from, if there was nothing before that what made Big Bang happen. The same thing can be asked about God. (maybe they are all the same) I know there are some theories that say that the universe will expand to a certain point and the retract to itself again, to such a small size that it will implode and create another Big Bang in and endless cycle... the Breathing of God one could say =) So I guess my answer is God was always here and she will never go away lol
what I believe is that before the big bang there was no time no matter no nothing. But out of this vast nothingness came the vast system of space, time, matter, and energy that we now see as the universe. The explosion released all of the matter and energy that still exists in the universe today. well my question is what caused the big bang???
Indeed as Xemnas pointed out that it is theoretical :/ Like all things in science, we come up with a theory and formulate a hypothesis to test. With research hopefully one day we could arrive with indisputable proof, of which this theory will become fact.
What caused the big bang? Its still just theory, based on conjecture and mathematical calculations. Best thing we could do right now is measure the radio and microwaves, remnants from the big bang, in hope to learn more about the process.

Believe implies faith. Its not a question of belief when it comes to answering the question of the origin of the big bang. Its about knowledge, and seeking the facts I choose to believe in facts.

Again, what the hell are you saying? Another contradiction made. You're trying to tell us God isn't theoretical? Well said Sylhana.
Also, I agree with Crumpets and the post he made a while ago. I do know that all humans feel the need to know what happened, why it happened, and what caused it, but we should focus on the day at hand. I think we should think about what happened, but not focus our whole attention on it.
