i don't like point and click shooting. If i wanted to point and click i'd play some turnbased RPG or WoW. Whenever at all possible if im playing a PC shooter i will try to connect my xbox controller to it because it feels better imo. I know compared to mouse/keyboard guys im at a disadvantage but thats a small price to pay for me having fun...

i've never felt handicapped in L4D or TF2 because of my controller, but i did enjoy the experience more...

I expected nothing less. Mouse point & click is much easier than controlling a joystick.

^^^This

Why people think that using two joysticks to control up/down and left/right is better is beyond me. Especially the fanboys. Console gaming is really only better when it comes to hanging out with friends. You can't really have fun with friends when there is only one computer.

lol fanboy's argument "Controller is just so much easier"

lol wat the

My argument is that it is harder, thus takes more skill to become better.

Different, harder, outdated and inefficient are very different concepts.

My personal take on this is that console fps will never match pcs in term of "skill" related to blazing fast reactions.

My friend is great with a controller on PC TF2, those sorts of games work well with them.

Now, Quake, CS, or UT is a different story. It's 100% twitch reflex, and you just can't do it with a stick unless you've got really good (read: prophetic) prediction skills.

Reaction is universal. You need reaction time for both...

Outdated seems a little weird to say though. It's hardly outdated, it's preference.

I call bullshit on this. First, I want the names or atleast usernames of the Xbox players. Second, what maps and gametype were they playing? Third, was auto-aim off for the Xbox players? Fourth, I want a video of this to see if there was any cheating or other bullshit going on. Also what equipment was the PC gamers using as the input lag could be a significant factor?

There are advantages to PC but I highly doubt that the best Xbox users couldn't beat the crap out of some regular PC users.

Don't just throw statements out there without some data back this up.

I just lol'd at the nerd rage.

^you don't need to know anything else except for the fact that using two joysticks to try to aim at someone is never going to be faster than using a mouse to point and shoot. FPS (unless it is a realism game like project reality) is almost always about who kills who first, or camping somewhere and shooting them with long range weapons and they could be running around or jumping. Both of these are incredibly difficult to do when the person on the other side of the screen is using a mouse and your not.

Since it was HP doin this, I'm sure they would have taken lag/Frames into consideration and made the PC's being test be on par with that of the 360. this isnt some grassroots research.
