I got my password computer-generated when I tried to change the password to my Knight Online account back in '06. Even though it's complicated as shit, I know it by heart now.

A 4 days password (9 letters/digits) isn't complicated or it doesn't have to be complicated .

My sro account is 4 days and it is far away from being complicated .

Actually some of the easiest passwords (for you) can be a huge pain to hackers , like :

car133bird331 - dumb as it looks - is a GOOD password VS a brute force attack. It's simple for you to remember, and it's HUGE when a scriptkiddie goes to attack it.

How difficult a password is is really relative to the passwords I usually use. :yay:

I guess brute force can't send all possible combinations to the server because it will stop after 5~10 tries, so cracking passwords with brute force is not useful atm, except for some unsecured websites that is probably useless.

Also they could be taking all those passwords and putting them into a hacking program, so it tries them first, better hacking =D

well Windows does not stop you after so many tries. Websites yes but a lot of programs do not.

No one's actually trying to send the server every possibility of passwords when people say 'brute force'. They steal the password hash and try to crack that.

Which is why some script kiddies get screwed over when they download and run scripts when they have no idea how they work. Some can put invisible, no-password remote admins on your computer.

Don't write SRO/SRF, cuz now we know that you often use the same password. :!: :!:

That is before novemvigintillion.

It goes
quattuorvigintillion 10^75
quinquavigintillion 10^78
sesvigintillion 10^81
septemvigintillion 10^84
octovigintillion 10^87
novemvigintillion 10^90
trigintillion 10^93

I just got one About 314 trigintillion years

Anyone know how big Googolplexian is?
Googolplexian: The worlds largest number with a name. A "1" followed by a googolplex of zeros.
Googolplex: The second largest number with a name. A "1" followed by a googol of zeros.
Googol: A large number. A "1" followed by one hundred zero

So that's 10^(10^(100+10^100)) without being able to simplify any further.

Just thought I'd share.

funny enough my GPUs brute-forced my secure password and it only took a few hours (md5 brute) so I really don't know what he set the specs as but they're pretty inaccurate as expected. Don't think your safe guys with a password of 4 million years or less. (at least) though most systems nowadays block after so many attempts but if you could get a hold of the hashes you're gold
