You obviously weren't looking for a coherent story or characters that serve as anything more than just props for action sequences. Michael Bay gave you can hour and half of the most bullshit attempt at a conspiracy story filled with characters who's only purpose is to deliver bad one liners. Then he gave you an hour of fighting that lasted an hour too long and didn't require the presence of anyone involved except the robots who spend half their time trying to save the humans and the other half of the time making more bad one liners. Action needs to have tension. It needs to have meaning an a sense of style and flow. Film your funniest friend shooting a gun and blowing up used cars for an hour and that's about how tense and action packed the last hour of this movie was. That's bad enough but when you consider how much time and effort and planning went into making something so boring and meaningless it's almost a crime against humanity.

But you got to see that chicks ass in the opening shot for like 3 minutes. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

welcome to Hollywood? its not some kind of recent thing that just started in the past few years they have been making movies like that, that focus on action with the characters being boring or unimpressive. Yeah i don't typically go to enjoy there types of movies, but my friends wanted me to go so i went, and i knew what type of movie this was going to be so i enjoyed it for what it was, a low thinking action packed eye gasm. So no i wasn't "looking for a coherent story or character" cause that is not what this movie was suppose to be, if i was say, going to a movie that was suppose to have these qualities and it failed to do so then yes i would say that it sucked, but its not that kind of movie. It's equivalent of going into a Romantic Drama and then complaining about how there wasn't enough violence and action scenes, its just not that type of movie.

What i should've said is "you're why action movies suck"

I didn't go there expect much either like i said in my original post. But nothing in that movie compared to the forest fight scene in Transformers 2 and between 1 and 2 i've seen all those fights before. So even though i went to see giant robots fighting Bay managed to completely fail to deliver on that front. How many times have we seen bumblebee grab sam out of the air in the nick of time and then transform. When he does it twice in one movie both times in slowmo it sort of loses it's wow factor.

That wasn't entertainment on any level. Not even on mindless eyegasm level. It would be like if the Matrix 2 and 3 just kept doing the same exact fight scenes from Matrix 1 and slightly changing the settings. You said you didn't go to see characters and plot but that is the first 90 minutes of this movie. But you still found it entertaining somehow. I think the only slightly memorable fight was the last one and it's spaced between so many cut away shots and theres so much shit going on you don't even get to appreciate the actual robot fight. Not to mention

1%? Thats why it has a 38% on rotten tomatoes and it's average user rating is 4.5. Theres not a credible review site on the internet where this movie is considered good by critics or users. I've not met 1 person that has hated it besides the couple people in this topic. Like 2 or 3. I went with a group of 15+ friends and relatives and not one had a bad thing to say about it. None of my friends or family that went separately had anything bad to say about it. Some people have such high standards. Everything HAS to be 10x better than it's predecessor. I liked it and other people said they did to and you come into the Forum insulting people when no one said 1 thing bad about you for disliking it. Learn some respect..

As for your family and all that high standard BS, i'm not buying it. Like i said every movie reviewing site on the web has panned this movie, critics and viewers alike. You're confusing high standards for standards while you have none. That's less of an insult and more of observation of your opinions compared to the average opinion of the general public.

I think what you guys aren't understanding here is that there are elements in filmmaking by which films are critiqued that were very poorly portrayed here, and you don't need to be a pretentious film critic to understand this. That you seem to disagree with this just underlines the fact that you don't know a bad movie when you see one. You're impressed by CGI robot fights and tits, and as exhilarating as that was for you, it doesn't give the film a free pass on everything else.
