All the other BMW's have become the new ford mondeo - see them everywhere you go because everyone who wants an ordinary car gets them now.

Except that Ford's quality can't be compared to BMW's. There is also many other fast BMW models such as 335, 535, M1 coupe, 330C, Z and x series with M mods.

man if you want something that will last you and get good mpg...

Toyota Corolla

Not the hottest car out there but its cheap and reliabe

I have an '03, bought in '02, it has 250,000 miles on it. Never broken down

The battery lasted 8 years, I finally got a new one for $80

Then I had to get a new part for my wheel which was only $80, the bearing was shot

38 mpg highway/28mpg city

ok i'll clear this up a little like i said before i dont want a car thats over 13 thousand xD ive had an audi before so thats out of the question and i dont want to get another honda or a car i have to do stuff to thats what i was gonna buy a rx8 that comes with navigation and bose sound system

I would recommend a acura rsx type s or the base model. their around 6-13k. type s engine is 2.0L with 200-210hp stock and that is non turbo. it also comes with bose sound system. it doesn't have navigation, but you should have plenty of leftover money to install one.
After one year of researching, this is the car that i would want to get. But i might end up buying a honda civic if my parents is not going to help me out.

What? I didnt mean that at all.

I mean anyone who doesnt know shit about cars will now buy a BMW because they see everyone else buying one.

You buy a BMW and you'll look like very other person on the road. Now if you looking to spend a lot of money on a car (which you have to if you want to buy a decent BMW) you'll probably want to stand out a little.

There a lot of choices you can get with that budget, but it depends on what you want. Do you want a gas saving car? Sport car? Truck? etc. From your first post I'm guessing a sports car lol

The Mazda RX8 is a good choice, engine revs super duper high, gets good mpg, and looks cool too. However, it is a rotary engine, it needs HIGH maintenance. Hell at 50k miles it needs major rebuild at Mazda. Rotary engines don't last long, and they never have lasted that long.

The older Mustang is a great cruising car, but I can't see anyone DD'ing that thing. Does it have power steering? Power brakes? A/C? Engine rebuilt? Any major rust?

Don't get a used WRX. Those are turbo'd and not many people are light footed when it comes to those cars. Plus most people don't even have a turbo timer which is very important on a turbo car (especially if they have a lead foot).

Audi is a nice car but GL paying thousands on maintenance fees...

With that money you could buy a late 99 or 00 Cobra mustang. They aren't the supercharged oens but they are still very quick, and they are fast.

plus endless mod capability down the line.

If you want a mpg friendlier car but sporty, a mazdaspeed (3 or 6) is a good car (if you can find one).

I have a RSX type s with the k20a2 in it. I pretty much pull on anything in its class. I've taken s2ks out and laughed at most stangs... but i have a ton of aftermarket... toda anyone? Still running all motor and with kpro im still getting around 30mpg depending on if im driving to work with it or not.

So yeah if you want a fun car thats moderately fast and gets good gas, the rsx type s is a good choice. None turbo so your pretty safe over 100k. i'd never buy a 2nd hand wrx unless it was from my grandma or i had a crate engine.

Anyone that thinks ford cant touch bmw hasnt seen what ford has done lately. i'm a ford hate myself but ive gotta say theyve been doing a good job in these last few years.

and the rx8 does not get good mpg. Th wankle engine might be able to put down some power for a 1.3 but it takes some high revs to gain that. i'd say 20 mpg for one if that... my friend hardly gets 15 and for a little 3dr car like that... 30 mpg and decent power would be easy.
