My sidebar says it is 99 degrees in Chicago. Good thing I'm just chilling in my room.

For what's worth it, I'm envious. I had to come back from my vacation early because of the cold temperatures and near constant raining. :\

The power in my area went out for 2 hours. I left and came back and it was on. All is well.
Also 97 degrees.

I am usually pretty unaffected by heat and when its particularly bad I just open my windows and use a fan, if its 110+ I may take an extra shower or two that day but tbh I usually carry on like normal ( cold however is my enemy, I feel like I "lose powers" when the temperature drops too much ).

Two showers a day, and ac on most of the time! I thought people in the US had ac on all the time...? This summer has hardly been hot so far in VA I take that back. 97F today, 101F tomorrow with alot of humidity. Had practice in the morning at 6 -_-'

Well, humidity "heat" is way worse than dry heat.

See I like it better when it's cold. My reasoning is it's much easier to try and get warm than it is to try and stay cool.

idk where, but it was apparently around 100F at 11PM. That's Insane. I look forward to around 6 or 7 pm on hot days cuz it starts cooling off. In 100 degree weather, 80 degrees feels luxurious. link2113 wrote: i live in arizona, the freaking desert, how do you think i feel with a shitty fan and no ac? Arizona isn't even in the Top 5 Hottest USA States. I've lived there and it's "Heat" is greatly exaggerated. I think it's rank 10 actually with a summer average of 78.1° F 25.6° C I live in Oregon now which is ranked at 46 lol.

The heat does cause power surges. I'm surprised its not gone out completely with this heat. as many Ac are running.

AC is for women and small children.
Real men ride around in a hot car for 6-8 hours a day, delivering pizza's in 100+ degree weather.

I lived in a tropical country for 14 years before moving to NY and I still hate the heat. I can bear it but I still hate it. I prefer freezing 10F over a scorching 90F day any time.
