I think there are a few minor changes that I would like to see be made. First of all, lose the shoes. I know they probably cost a lot of money and you like them, but the colour just doesn't work too well in my opinion. A black belt & shoe combination would look nice, especially with the navy blue tie in the mix. You could always go for the brown shoes & belt but I don't think it would look as nice. See if you can pick up some cheap formal shoes at an op shop, it's surprising how many people wear formal shoes once then give them away to op shops. You might have a bit more trouble though because it looks like you have quite large feet.
Second of all: the hair. You need to do something with that hair. Unless your theme is 1960's, in which case that bowl cut will fit right in. Get yourself a decent hair straightner, or better yet, go into a hair dresser and get them to do it for you. I'll post a picture of myself somewhere along here to show you what I mean. We have similar hair, mines a lot longer which makes it easier to style but a good 5 minutes in front of a mirror can make a hell of a lot of difference.
I can't find a picture of me in my suit which is a shame. My hair in this photo is a bit longer than yours, but try and do something similar. Get it layered a bit, although not too much as it will just make it puffy. Style out the layers a bit and "mess it up", for lack of a better word. It will make it look a lot more stylish and get rid of that "nerdish" feel to the photo. I'd keep the glasses, they don't look too bad and vision is always a positive thing. If you do get a bit self conscious about the glasses try something with a different frame, perhaps a slighter thicker black frame will do the trick.

The belt needs to match the shoes otherwise it's like wearing white socks with dress shots - looks stupid.
On a side note, I have a grey suit like yours. I just bought these and i'm planning to wear the left with it:
Spoiler!
I know, I know. But like I said a belt costs a lot. I just might buy a new one, but the problem is there's no Hermes store in New Zealand. All we got is Gucci, LV, Burberry and Armani. And if I'm going to be buying a new belt, I want to make sure it's high quality and will last a long time. I don't know, I'm on the fence about it. But if I find a good quality brown belt, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

I could probably ask my friend if I could borrow his LV shoes. They're just regular black dress shoes and would go with the belt. I still have a few days to sort it out so it should be fine. I'll try and go shopping before ball anyway and hopefully find something good!
Okay, about the hair. In the picture I didn't do my hair, I usually just have a regular Asian hairstyle. Something like this
Spoiler!
I'm going to my stylist on the day of ball to get it done.
that hair style is ok... just because people who have that hairstyle are called "emo" doesnt mean you have to be emo to wear that hairstyle... shorten it a little and make it a bit more messy and choppy, perfect.
oh and please dont wear eyeliner or make up... you seriously look like a douche when you do

bro a new belt doesn't have to be expensive.. if anything screams cheap to me it's a belt buckle with a brand name/logo on it. Also, stop taking this shit way too serious. Half of the people around you will be wearing their dad's suit and have shoes with more seams and glue than leather.
Your suit fits you great, you look fine. Stop being such a woman.

That's actually pretty reassuring. It's just that I wanna stand out you know. But then again, 99% of guys are wearing black suit, white shirt and black tie. Might as well wear uniform haha.
But yeah you're right man. Whatever happens, happens. As long as I have fun, right?

So ball was just AMAZING! Had so much fun last night at pre ball, ball and after ball. Dressing up, riding the limo, taking pictures, dancing, everything was just awesome. Probably one of the best nights of my life. Here are some pics for anyone that's interested
