Right now im not.

what do you mean a "fifth", form the very beginning russia was fluff...i don't even know why the first cold war happened ...russia is far from a threat...just look at its terrible economy if Putin tried to something drastic there gonna do to him what they did to Mussolini.

The coldwar started somewhere after WWII. Stalin placed down the fundaments.

1945 with the division of berlin, or 1918 with the revolution - depending on how you look at it.

Economy isn't a big deal when there's a country with nuclear weapons pointed at you, doesn't matter how starved the soviet citizens were. Same thing today: won't matter how well Iran or North Korea is doing economically or socially, if they have the ability or strike american soil with nuclear weapons. (Although, striking Japan or South Korea would be very bad for American economy)

I agree with avalanche, and its not just that they are able to vote those rednecks..one of em is also your current president...when im in the states the news are very angeled towards the US being the good guys and the others being the badfucks, while the rest of the world get the real news.

got a sarcastic framed pictureo n my wall with a american flag and the text "support our troops" over it, kinda funny, and gives a good gag effect:)

The economy sucked so bad cause during the cold war and thorought much of 20th century Russian history they stuck all there money into ..... arms nimrods...hence the Arms Races aka the Cold War.....

I love it when 16 year olds see their favorite movie star talk shit about Bush on TV then just repeat what they saw
I also love how everyone on the internet seems to be an expert in international politics and american international affairs.

And knowing that 90% of SRF users are too young to vote (with reason) just makes me wet.

Besides, with global warming it wouldn't be called the "cold war" anymore - and that's Bushes fault!

This is a forum open for discussion and people are encouraged to speak to the best of there knowledge. If they happen to get that information from some random celebrity then the celebrity is really doing a good job.
I love it when people who think they know so much because they think they're so old that they can analyis and pick out where the "16 year olds" got all there info. Please its not like no ones every pointed out how the media influences peoples opinions get off your high horse and stop underestimating people so much. Im sorry but it came of as really obnoxious and that pissed me off for some reason.[/quote]

His point was that many just repeat exactly what they heard from somebody else, rather than coming to their own conclusions using their own logic and reasoning.

duly noted but isn't that how most people get there information and form ther e opinons. Lets not pretend that SRF is excempt from the social laws of monkey see monkey do (forgive the crude example). Im merely stating that his post seemed to look down on people who repeat what they hear from others as there own information, especialy seeing as he's probably done this himself and expressed it with an air of superiority that screams "im clearly being a hypocrite"

summary - its wrong to take a jab at people for using other peoples wrods as there own because its the primary way info is passed around the world.

They both (well atleast Putin) don't have the balls to start a war. They're just being basterds. IMO the USA doesn't need anything in europe, and therefor the proposal to install those things is irrelevant. They're trying to meddle in almost everything right now, get's well annyoing.

And bush knows it pisses Putin off, he's out to seek conflict.

If one starts a war, they'll both be destructed.
I think Russia has enough nuclear weapons left to delete the USA and vice versa.
Although it's peace, you can still speak of MAD.

I think it's f*cking ironic that Bush called out other countries that they need democracy while he's shoving his "democracy" down people's throats.
