I pre-ordered a BF4 launch day edition off of Amazon last night for $506 PS4 - $399 BF4 - $49 [comes with DLC also] PS+ - $49 Tax free, $7 shipping to my door on launch day.
My co-worker pre-ordered his X1 at GameStop with a game and 1 year of Xbox Live. Total = $682 Nearly $200 more for the same damn thing. Actually "100 titles in it's 1st year" also http://www.gamespot.com/news/microsoft- ... ue-6410352Don Mattrick says X1 is giving you a thousands of dollar value.

Oh no, I was talking about the picture Dom posted of him trading in 40 games for his PS4. Thousands of dollars my arse. I wonder what he'd say about the PS4's value.. you know.. since it's cheaper and more powerful.

I think they should just keep that Mattrick guy away from PR as possible. I mean he can't help looking like a douche but he can stop making douchey statements

From what I'm reading I'll still probably go for the XBO. It's not all bad, they just suck at bringing out info.

Makes sense that Mattricks a executive, no idea why they have him anywhere near PR though -_-. They should get the Major Nelson guy giving the big interviews/presenting, he seems chill (or atleast compared to Mattrick) The price point is the really the main issue for me. 500$ is a shitload of money + xbox live costs more than PSN. They have some really good multiplayer exclusives though, not so much single player. It just boils down which one people i know will be buying, and many of them seem to be switching to PS

Asked about the family plan and then Steam with it's sales where Nelson replies "Steam? Well does steam have X, Y, and Z?" N-no, but steam doe- "YEAH BUT LOOK AT WHAT WE'RE DOING AND STEAM DOESNT HAVE IT" It also doesn't help that they have Steve Ballmer.

^He did seem somewhat dickish but AngryJoe was being too polite, not really all his fault though since he isn't really a interviewer. I think he shoulda just asked the main question about DRM and competing with PS3 first, instead of the "going into the future bit". Again its kinda stupid for me to criticize for me to criticize him in hindsight though.

^The thing is if he acted angry or tried to question it impolitely the guy behind/ontheside the camera would have cut off the interview instantly. I can see why he was trying to be very polite. Microsoft's big names are a joke. You have Steve Ballmer that just.. well I don't have anything to say about him. Don Mattrick saying stupid shit like usual and the jock Nelson. Meanwhile on Sony's side you have humble guys like Mark Cerny, Adam Boyes, and so on. Even Jack Tretton with his shit eating grin when he knew what he was doing on stage just by stating a featureless reveal. Microsoft needs to have better 'icons'. I also hate Phil Spencer and everything about him. His posture, speech, face, and everything else I just want to punch his face in. I just don't know why. http://www.warpzoned.com/2013/06/congre ... nect-bill/Interesting.

I am really sure who Phil Spencer etc are, I have to say I was lol'ing along with Jack Trentton when he did the PS4 used games announcement though.
Tbh the bill probably is just for show, I mean these are the same people that knew about the NSA surveillance and did jackshit; they would use the Kinect to spy everyone to death if they could, and MS would love to hand it over to them for $_$

If you are so worried about the XBO 'spying' on you just pull out the plug when you're not playing. Or even better, don't buy the damn console.

Or turn the Kinect around so it's facing against a wall or something.

Quote: An internet connection will not be required to play offline Xbox One games – After a one-time system set-up with a new Xbox One, you can play any disc based game without ever connecting online again. There is no 24 hour connection requirement and you can take your Xbox One anywhere you want and play your games, just like on Xbox 360.
Trade-in, lend, resell, gift, and rent disc based games just like you do today – There will be no limitations to using and sharing games, it will work just as it does today on Xbox 360. on Xbox 360. Xbox 180 confirmed.

I'm glad they actually listened to the consumers instead of worrying about lining their pockets.

If they were listening they would of seen how much people don't want this to begin with lol. They are only changing because not doing so wont line their pockets. Anyway i'm conflicted. I've been getting excited about switching to PS, but if all stays well on Xbox iuno. There's still kinect -.-, and that fact they even tried this bull and went back on it proves it was all their decision simply because they wanted it. I am still upset with ms, I don't trust em anymore.

Look I'm not a genius, but someone up in PR must have known this was coming and tried to warn Microsoft. With the #PS4NoDRM campaign, Microsoft should have realized they'll have to do a 180 if Sony announced no DRM. They did a 180 because the amount of press roared in Sony's conference. Shit talk along with the way created a hype train that Microsoft saw sales won't be up to the task. Amazon is a great example where the PS4s sold out within a day. Though that might be my tin foil corporation hat talking.

All they need to do, in my eyes at least, is stop trying to shove the Kinect down our throats.

Consumer wins? Sure, I won't agree on that entirely due to Kinect, but hey with Steam's beta hinting at sharing games it definitely is a win win situation. If Kinect was removed and it was priced at $400 from the removal of bloatware then I'd say "They're on equal terms." Even if the damage has been dealt. Til then I can't wait to see some sale numbers at the end of the year.
