You fail to see the point of this vid.. There are people still swimming in the area's that have oil in it because they assume it isn't there. Because it's not big and blotchy to the naked eye.

Swimming in the gulf was nasty before the spill. Also, I used to swim in the spill walls of a couple crude oil tanks when I was little, and it never effected me... You could see the crude oil on top of the water too. So I'm sure these kids at the beach are in no danger. I'm pretty sure, since it's the gulf, there was more than likely methane gas in the last sample.

How cute.
it is pretty toxic though i don't know how toxic in the levels they've shown. That doesn't just affect your kids sandhole but also anything living on the water that you might want to eat and it'll probably be there and toxic for a very long time...the exxon spill in alaska still hasn't cleared up...

16parts per million? 16 sounds to low to be toxic anyways. Ands its not like the kids are ingesting it. The only ones who should be worried are the people who go on a regular basis

The reporter is making the assumption that the gulf water didn't already have those traces of oil prior to the spill. Gulf water has always been dirty. It would be more believable if they compared to soil and water samples taken earlier.

Do you glow green in dark?
Yes... but that's from being born near a nuclear reactor.
