If that's an AGP slot you should consider getting one of these:

HHD should plug into the two black things at the bottom left of the pick for SATA I believe.

You need one of these Image to plug in Dom's awesomeness, but I think that one is 1 PCI-E and 2 PCIs

I'm not asking about AGP or PCI slot... I'm asking about the location to plug HHD, DVDs and Floppy diskette (if exists)

@Fiction: can you paint on the image to show me?

If you google the motherboard's model you could get a manual in PDF. It would show you all the connectors.

2/ IDE (used for ATA hdd & cd-drives)
3/ this holds the SATA ports

Ok thx Razorhead (and Dom with a little help). So I see there's only one slot for IDE. Does it mean that I have to connect both HDD and DVD drive to that same slot using one same cable? Will the system automatically detect these drive? Do I have to configure anything else?

Your HDD should plug into number 3.

#3 uses SATA cable. So if I use a HDD which doesn't support SATA, how do I install it?

1 IDE slot means u can connect 1 cable which has 2 connectors.
Connect the HDD & dvd drive on the cable, set the HDD as master & the dvd-drive as slave (using the jumpers)
When u boot, they should be detected. Don't forget to plug in the powersupplies for the hdd & dvd-drive :P

buy an IDE to SATA converter

although it would prolly be cheaper to just buy a SATA hdd (and it would go faster too)

How/where do you use/configure the jumpers?

I got an old HDD since 2005 and I want to use it.
So if I got lots of HDD and DVD drives, I have to use a cable with lots of connectors, coz I have only one IDE slot?

The HDD I got is pretty much like this:
Image

Uploaded with ImageShack.us
#1 is for IDE slot
#3 is for power supply
What's #2 for?

#1 is for IDE slot
#3 is for power supply
What's #2 for?

#2 is used for the jumper setting

1 IDE -> 1 IDE cable -> 2 IDE Devices on 1 cable
It's a shared bus, so if u only have 1 device it can use all the speed. Using 2 devices on 1 cable means the speed is devided between the 2 devices. (1 master & 1 slave; master = primairy device => the one that needs the most speed & is used the most -> HDD)

The sticker on the hdd should show u how to set master/slave/cable select
It's best u google this if u want more info about jumpers:
hdd jumpers
hdd jumper settings
