I'm a cereal killer :p No, I mean unlike other killers you'd see portrayed in movies or TV, or ones you read about in the news. I'm referring of course to the actor's ability to make the character more...sympathetic?

WOOOOAH WOOOAH... Wait right there!  Are you calling me creepy? Oh but anyways, I think its more to do with the back story of the character. Dexter was taught to have morals and live by a code. Most serial killers were born out of lack of a parental guide.
