Does anyone else hate it when someone says "**** the *insert country they live in*". I live in USA and I get really pissed off when this happen, usually immigrants do it but if you hate it don't live here its simple. If you hated the US you wouldn't have came here in the first place. I am not asking anyone to love everything about their country, USA has a lot of flaws but just saying outright you hate it is ridiculous.

Also I don't like ppl who abandon their own country and come here illegally just to say America sucks.

America is a big place with a lot of stuff going on. If you can't find something to hate about it then you're walking around with blinders on. If you can't find something to love about it then you're walking around with blinders on.

Saying if they don't like it they should leave is naive and stupid. People go places and do things they don't like all the time because they have to, that doesn't mean they should shut up and never complain about it. I wonder how many people hate their jobs and the people the have to work with. I wonder how many times a day "I hate this place" is thought by someone sitting in a cubicle or behind a counter or on the street. But they stay there because they need money so they can have food and shelter. America is no different for many people. Even people who seem to love this country also seem to hate it, the Tea Party movement for example. Most of the immigrants i've met seem to like it here but they don't speak for all immigrants just like yours don't

I doesn't ruin my day to hear someone say they hate/love this country unless they're trying to poorly argue why i should hate/love it too. Then we have a problem and someone needs to shut up. Kind of like this topic...

Well, I do not love my country, neither do I hate it, but if I had to choice I would want to live somewhere else.

But main reason is why I hate Sweden is because the government and the fuckers who keep voting on them even that the economy is falling apart.

yeah it pisses me off when mexicans fly ONLY the mexican flag outside their house, thats just a slap in the face to what they are using america for.

the irony is that so many non-americans and foreigners bash our country whenever they get a chance while at the same time everyone wants to immigrate here, get a college education here, or live here. just stay in your own fucking country if this is you.

yeah, but people need to realize that any country is not perfect. there are countries out there that are 1000 times worst than America.

1. They're expressing pride in their culture
2. Lots of people fly different countries flags on their homes and cars. This is America, we all came from some other place.
3. "using america"? Certain parts of this country were built on the backs of Mexicans. Certain parts today, however much people pretend to despise them, are sustained by Mexicans. If they're "using" america than so are you.

There are things I hate, there are things I love. Can't generalize it.

It's one thing to express pride for your culture it's another thing to put the country down that is allowing you so many blessings. I don't know about you, but on the forth of July my family doesn't go burn Mexican or Canadian flags.

2. Yes of course most of us can trace our origins back to other countries... but you don't become a citizen of America because you hate it. I've met a lot of people from all over the world that live here, If they do fly their countries flag, they fly it along side the American flag or below it.

3. I don't know if you are talking about Mexican citizens or illegal Mexican immigrants. But either way, the reason you have the Mexicans working all these jobs that the media says American citizens will not, is simple. Contractors hire illegals because they don't have to pay them much, no taxes, no insurances, no legal responsibility what so ever. Illegals can live off of this small wage. But if an American citizen were to be hired on for the same wage as an illegal(which would be illegal to do anywys) the citizen could not afford to live. They have to pay their taxes, their insurance, their bills, food, etc. In other words, if it weren't for them being over here illegally and being hired illegally, the citizens would have a chance to "build" this country.

I am not saying they can't express their culture, I support that, I understand they wave their flag sometimes, and I also understand someone may say they hate their country out of anger sometimes. But it is different if they come here and say that they hate it and like their country a lot more. If you were born in the country and can't leave for some reason I again understand somewhat, but moving here then hating the country is another thing.

So it's wrong for people to have the flag of their ancestry? I live in Canada and so many people have flags of other countries up and no Canadian flag, and I could give two shits that they don't have one. They pay for the flag, they paid for the flag pole, and chances are they paid for the property... So you know what they can have whatever the **** flag they want up on that pole. Isn't America built around freedom? So why criticize someone for using that freedom?

Ummm who said anything about flag burning? Also who are you to decide what a non-american flag on a persons house represents. Do you realize the irony of you bitching about this while at the same time praising our "blessings" once of which is the right to free speech.




You have no idea why people become citizens in this country. Even if you hate America and everything it stands for there are still good reasons to come and live here. Certain states still fly the Confederate Naval jacket Aka the Confederate Flag. You know the flag of the rebels who tried to destroy this country from the inside out? I guess that makes those states anti-american. I guess everyone who fly's that flag is anti-american which is weird because if you talked to them they seem like the type of people who really like america.



So the reason why illegal immigrants are bad is because American Citizens make an active decision to not to hire other Americans because this is a capitalist economy and being greedy is rewarding. It's not just contractors btw, be honest. Hispanics are making up a larger and larger percentage of the restaurant, industrial, domestic, and agricultural industry and they're all employed by Americans. Feeding and taking care of America. Not to mention the thousands of natural born non-mexican americans who are being paid under the table by private or even family owned businesses. A practice that's been going on for hundreds of years and is unlikely to go away anytime soon.

Sounds like the real un-American thing is the people who employee them. If Americans really cared they'd boycott the food and business that employed these people but the reality is because they cost so little to employ their products are cheaper. The reality is Americans don't want to pay that extra amount for more expensive goods and many of them don't even have the means to do so. The reality is that you're supporting illegal immigrants most of the time you buy cheap american made goods and food and you have to buy the cheapest because minimum wage is so low, loans are so expensive, school is so expensive, food is so expensive, healthcare is so expensive, gas is so expensive etc...


You're trapped by a cycle and illegal immigrants are not the cause of this frustration. They're just the easiest target, like the Jews or the Muslims. So like the dumb mob you misdirect your anger because thinking about the truth is out of your comprehension. Your enemies are much bigger and your problems are much greater. If you have a problem with illegal immigrants in america than you have a problem with the entire capitalist based world economy...but it's easier to just go "THEY TOOK OUR JOBS"

I never said not having an American flag is wrong. I'm talking about immigrants that come to America and burn our flag and tell us our country is no good. Of course it's legal to burn the flag... but this thread wasn't about what is legal in America. It was about disagreeing with people that come to a country that they hate.

I feel like if you've ever actually worked and had to support a family, you'd know what I'm talking about. I pay all my bills(gas/water/power); I pay for car insurances; I pay for tags on my car; I pay my house mortgage; I pay if I go to the hospital; I pay state and federal taxes each year etc etc. We all know what the person here illegally pays... Let me know when you get hit by an illegal if he gives you his insurance...

I haven't even touched on the drug cartels and the crime these illegals cause...

I've traveled plenty and have also met a number of international students here who have pretty much that logic. Plus, plenty of europeans/asians hide behind their monitors and bag on america all they want. Plenty evidence around the web.

For all its flaws, america is a wonderful country that has a history of goodwill and international charity. I guess they don't teach it in foreign schools that america helped win WWI? That america is the reason why the allies won WWII? That america is the country that handed cash to all the europeans after WWII so that they could build up their economy (does the word marshall plan even ring a bell)? That america was the main country to hold communism at bay? That american aid is pretty much the first one to be there in a natural disaster? No country is perfect, is yours perfect? no i don't think so. There are plenty of ways to troll foreign countries. I wouldn't be able to bash america as a non-american, it would be so distasteful when you thnk about all those americans who died for the world's freedom...go read a fucking history book.

Its funny because europeans go when I say "america helped save the world from nazism and communism". Ok then, who defended world democracy and human rights in WWII? France? Really? They were kissing hitler's ass like 3 months into WWII. Britain? Really? how long do you think they would have lasted from nazi bombings? what about canada? how much did they do to defend democracy from hitler? denmark? sweden? poland? belgium?

I'd be happy to live in america any day and I think most americans would agree.

First, I admitted in my OP that USA has flaws all countries have flaws, Second I know most people are immigrants but I was obviously talking about the immigrants that are moving here now and saying that they hate it.

United Sates of America has a lot downfalls, but no country can be perfect. And since we lost most of our industry due to NAFTA we are becoming weak. Every country has their ups and downs. Most citizens talk shit about other countries, here we talk shit about any place the isn't the US of A.
I liked to live in other countries to experience them but I'm so used to living in the US that all of there laws seem so bizarre and unfair. The US was the model of the free and represented world and all we get is bashed. I remember talking to a clan member from the UK and he bashed the US for getting stingy for donations on the major tsunami that hit a few years ago, when his country donated a fraction, and the US donated more than any other country combined INCLUDING China. As I said we have our downfalls, and corrupt politicians but there is no other place like ours and the rest of the world envies. And by the way, George Bush is not a representation of the USA, and if he comes into any insults you are a complete dumbass
