Do all LCD monitors have this strange milky glow to it?

I bought this 24 inch LCD monitor from Best Buy and say I stand up and look down it has this really bright glow.

Or If am sitting down watching a movie, near the bottom of the movie has that milky glow to it.

Is it normal? Yes I have messed with the brightness and gamma and everything else, nothing is changing....if it is normal..is there a good size 23-24 Inch screen that wont have it?

Sometimes I miss my little 17 inch screen...it never had this glow.

It's probably a case of back light bleeding. It happens on low-end monitors all the time.

When I sit down and look up words, the upper area seems to be normal from the angel I'm sitting. But the bottom is a bit lighter then the top...which shows a glowish type milk.

do you know if it's a glossy or matte?
glossy tends to be a bit brighter.

This is completely normal for most older LCD and lower budget LCDs. The viewing angles from side to side can still be 179-180 but more than likely the viewing angles from the top or the bottom are very poor. They focus the photons so you get the best view from right in front of the monitor.

Also you may suffer from backlight bleeding around the edges of your screen (top or bottom at any angle). This happens a lot with LCDs and is normal(usually when attempting to display black).

If you haven't used a large LCD monitor before than yeah, you just have to get used to it.

In this day and age you have to be cheap.

And thank you Fiction, and all who replayed in a mature way unlike some trolls.
