mobo and cpu seem overpriced, rethink those. about the psu you only want around 550, if you need more than that you may want to rethink your build.

Do you REALLY need that mobo? seriously? Thats WAY too much for your needs to be honest... Unless you tell me you have 3 external HDD, a joystick, a steering wheel, a USB mic, and 2 USB keys... You can easily cut down 40 - 50$ on that, and the CPU, you don't need 3.3GHz again, easy 50 - 70$ on that.
The card isn't impressive for the price, I have one just a bit less powerful (ATi 5670) for 80$ less...
Rethink about it, unless your money doesn't matter then fine

I have the p67a-gd65 too, it's a really nice mobo price difference between i5 & i7? (k versions) Also, get a new cpu cooling unit, stock cooler sux (trust me) I just ordered Scythe Mugen II rev B http://www.scythe-eu.com/en/products/cpu-cooler/mugen-2-rev-b.htmlJust check if ur RAMs aren't too high if u chose to buy the Mugen II (only a problem when u have more than 2 RAM bars) No problems with normal height RAM. Also, 4GB RAM is a bit on the low side (at least 6GB is advised, 8GB recommended) As for ur PSU, u should google max Watt usage of ur graphic card. Depending on max usage, go 550 or 750Watt. Preferably go with a PSU that is modular (no extra wires getting in the way) Don't take that black caviar (Sata 2 ><) Go with Sata 3, if the black caviars are too expensive go with blue (faak green power) Black is really only useful if ur pc runs 24/7 365/365 As for graka, following passmark http://www.passmark.commaybe Radeon 6950HD instead of Radeon 6870 HD (only 20$ more, keep eye out for difference in RAM) What are u going to use this pc for? Gaming, Movie Encoding/Editing?, ...?

Rethink about it, unless your money doesn't matter then fine Uhhhhh how can you know his needs? Maybe he plans on using all PCI slots on that Mobo and using it's features to get the most out of his overclock? The CPU is the new sandy bridge i5 unlocked. No surprise that people want to buy the latest line to future proof as much as possible. Don't really see an issue there... The graphics card is actually multiple times better than the one you stated by the way. The closest thing to a benchmark comparison I could find was this lol http://www.hwcompare.com/6013/radeon-hd ... n-hd-6870/@ Razor There's no logical reason to get SATA 3 as the drive itself can't deliver data at the speeds it allows (6 Gbit/s).

Since you're using a mid tower I'd get a modular PSU, makes cable management less of a nightmare. I got a 750W for my set up (q6600, gtx 285). Works fine.
I think the minimum for a 6870 is 500W. Should be fine with a 600. Could bump it up to a 750 or 800 if you're eventually going to crossfire another card.
edit if you're filling up all pci slots then ya get a 700-800

4 GB's of ram isnt that much of a nightmare either, with a sapphire 5770 vapor-x and an i5 760 it easely pulls black ops on max settings on a 19" screen. I've put in an other 4 GB's myself though, 8 fit better with the rest of the pc xD but 4 wasn't a huge problem either.

Iunno I have 4GB and I find I need 6GB...
And Azilius, I had a fixed budget, my goal was precise, unlike this guy, he is unclear, he said he wants an "extreme" gaming pc, yet he shows us a regular pc...

Do I need to save this thread?
The PC he has shown here is not an "Extreme" but Enthusiast level. He plans to overclock and does have the right type of motherboard to take advantage of Intel's unlocked multiplier on it's K models.
The motherboard has 4 slots and he could get a total of 8GB of ram if need be. Which is MORE then enough for gaming.
HDD wise if you wanted to go to the extreme levels invest in an SSD.
GPU is not the "best on the market" but is one of the most powerful single cards out there. (6970 is basically a 6870X2 same as 5970 is 5870X2)
PSU I would suggest 550W unless you plan to have a lot of connected devices. Then try for 600W. If you plan to crossfire go for 700W+. Also I suggest modular might be a bit more expensive then a regular but in the end keeps things cooler.
I also suggest a CPU cooler if you plan to overclock. Invest in filling the case up with fans and design the airflow properly.

Lol I really don't think a regular PC is a brand new Sandy Bridge CPU with a higher end motherboard and more or less all enthusiast parts. My point was you don't have to be a bitch for no reason..especially when your advice was subpar

The MSI supports up to 2133. Also the biostar PCI-E is x16/x4 as the MSI is x16 for both. MSI has 8 Channel audio (matters to some people.) MSI has More USB MSI has eSATA MSI has 1394(Firewire) MSI is ATX not MicroATX For $70 you get that plus some overclocking features. Not that the one you posted is bad. Just to fit the "Extreme" he is going for the MSI wins.

There are operating system live CD's which are essentially just run from a CD instead of having to be installed fully (useful if windows gets messed up or other various reasons).

Basicly that Win7 OEM disk has a mini version of windows on it (in simple terms)
