First thing I wanna say is, I do not look for help here. I just wanna hear opinions or people that experience the same.
So the last two years I've been rather "inactive" when it comes to drinking alcohol, just because my anger problems while drinking it. It first started when I was drinking mainly booze, so smart as I was I stopped drinking it, the only thing that did not make me angry was beer, but tonight, suddenly I became angry by just drinking beer. The night started out at a party just by a couple of close friends, we talked and just enjoyed the party. But then we headed to the bar, nothing special, but when I started to feel a little bit drunk and a girl friend of mine that I haven't meet on a couple of months came by and said hi when we was outside smoking, she had a guy with her.
I just wanna say, I feel nothing for her what so ever, but when the guy touched me when he wanted to say hi, I pushed him against the wall and said "if he got a problem with me, he might aswell say it to me". I was pretty much angry the whole night and when someone walked by me and looked at me I stood up and told them to fuck off. Tonight, I even throwed my cellphone on the ground so it broke just because the battery died when I was walking home.
I am sober now and have been for the last hour, but this is becoming rather frustrating as friends wont want me to come along just because I cause trouble everytime. I just wanna know if anyone had the same problem and solved it on some way. I have no problems staying away from alcohol, I rather smoke weed instead, but since my friends is against it I mostly do it alone and if I want to hang out with them on weekends, alcohol is the only option.

Hejsan, you're a pretty chill guy.
That "problem" of yours really sucks, and staying away from alcohol seems like the most obvious solution, but maybe you should seek help from people with qualifications? Like anger management, psychologists and what-so-ever.

have a friend who whenever he drinks to much people get tied to chairs and gagged, thinks theyre out to get him, and anyone who tries to reason with him is on their side, needless to say he is seeking profession help.
Is that the path i think you should take, maybe not, alcohol like other things enjoyed by many alter your mind, your just gets altered into an anger-er state. maybe if you go into the drinking event knowing this is how your going to react you can take steps to calm yourself when the occasion arises

Yes. Good man. Stay green. My suggestion: just have a few drinks. Don't go overboard. Limit yourself to a drink or two or however much you can drink without becoming an angry drunk. Or don't drink so much so fast. Try and have a drink, then eat something to absorb the alcohol a little. Some fries if you're at a bar, chips, etc.

I've always seen alcohol as a mood amplifier: When I'm feeling happy alcohol really amplifies that mood. When I'm feeling sad or lonely, well, you understand where I'm getting at. What I'll ask is during that sort of situation as you described in your post, how would you normally react? Would you feel any sort of anguish? Any anger? Even subconsciously or on a very low and insignificant level. If so, the intoxication would take that normal anger you push aside and instead reacts upon it and causes you to "become angry". Once the mood is created, it's amplified etc etc etc.
Similar thing happened last night. We gate crashed a party, probably 15 or so of us and it was going great. One guy got a bit angry though as my friend was "with" a girl and he didn't exactly approve of it. A half fight broke up, the group got segregated and the night was just shit after that. The point is all it takes it a small situation that you would brush aside in every day life and it gets amplified beyond belief while under the effects of alcohol.
Do I ever get angry? Nope, but I'm a pretty chilled person. I tend to feel a tad more upset than angry if a bad mood is created, but it's nothing another drink doesn't fix.

While anger is a normal emotional reaction that everyone experiences from time to time. xD And when you drink alcohol, it affects your self-control and Alcohol is a depressant, and often enhances your mood. Well, If your angry, after a couple drinks you may be quite possibly angrier. Seriously, the first step to controlling your anger is to realize you actually have a problem, then you can grow off that. You need to deal with the situations in your life.. that cause you to have so much rage in the first place. Give yourself permission to express your anger and sadness Just Remember, Never hurt yourself and Never aim your anger literally at another person. Seriously! Give yourself the opportunity to express anger in a safe way, without hurting anyone else.Thee_UniQue wrote: maybe you should seek help from people with qualifications? I can get in peoples faces too sometimes when I drink alot. I used to go out every weekend at least once, and still do most weekends, and I can tell you that there are a ton of people that get aggrevated and in-your-face when they're drunk, it's a real thing. What you could try, is drink slower on purpose and spread it evenly over the evening. I found that helped me and people I know quite a bit. You might not be completely smashed, but if you are avoiding it completely for that reason, there are certainly things you can do

My cousin have exactly the same problem as yours. We always had troubles with other groups when I go barhopping when them. Last time we go out we had 5vs7 fight with other group, there was even a time where he chases 2 guys with his Swiss knife. But I can control him most of the times, when I know that he is drunk, I never let him go of my sight or else. I just can't watch and let him fight alone, I always support him every time we get into trouble.
I think the solution to your problem is don't drink too much to the point that you lose control over yourself or find a good friend who can calm you or keep you out of trouble.

Personally I have no issue when I'm drinking, I turn into a big softy that cares for people lol.
But my friend has the same issue as you but only when he drinks Buckfast, its a cheap wine that gets you wasted pretty easy and when he drinks it, it turns to fighting juice.
I have known him for 11 years and we get into full on fights when he drinks it, just try and find some drink that doesn't make you angry and don't mix your drinks on a night out.

Ever thought that not drinking would solve it instantly?

that sucks. Therapist?
I've got the same, but than instead of anger, I get horny. So, I hit on everything with a heartbeat (sometimes even without) and start making out with them.
Yeah, lost some friends because of that. also made a few but don't want them really..

I know what you're saying, but honestly I do not want my friends to keep an eye out for me all the time, they should be able to enjoy a night out without having to babysit me.
