so yesterday i was so tired that when i got home i went straight to bed, without brushing my teeths or changing my clothes.
after 1 hour of sleeping i woke up (at 1am) and couldn't go back to sleep (and i had to catch a train at 6am lul). i wasn't feeling tired at all.

and later that day, in the train i slept all the way through :D

so what was that? a power nap?

I used to work night shifts and I would only go to sleep at work between 2AM-4AM and another one from 8AM-10AM and I felt completely rejuvenated. (Only during the weekends)

same here. I find 5/6 hours of sleep to be the perfect amount of sleepingtime for me. anything beyond that only makes me more tired.

Cuz we're used to it, as night time animals after years of games and movies at night.

I find power napping to be incredibly beneficial. I sleep a lot, I usually aim to get between 9-11 hours of sleep per night. If I have a late night because I've been out drinking/partying or whatever, than the next day I will usually have a power nap around lunch time for a few hours. It keeps me going until my normal bed time where I can once again sleep for godlike amounts of time and wake up ready to start a new day.
