Seems amazing but I am still not convinced that this is entirely true.

You mean, she's has autism but with words (in a computer) she can explain why people with autism act like that? And thinh rationally like any other person?
Oh geez, looks old but ya, looks like a huge improvement for people with those kind of disease.

One of my close friends has a sister who is Autistic (maybe her disorder is called something else, but she shows the exact same symptons. She can't speak, constant biting and hitting herself, hands on ears etc etc). Anyway, she is actually quite good at communicating with just her body language. When I first met her I was drunk and passed out on my friends couch. I awoke to find her standing over me, with her hands open facing me. I had no idea what it meant at the time, but later found out that the hand signal meant "home". She was asking why I was at her home. She'd point to me, do the home sign then sort of grunt. I was insanely freaked out at confused at the time, but I later got told what it all meant.

After spending some time with her I learnt more and more of her signs. When she points to different parts of her face, it refers to different people. She had a sign for me too, she'd point to her lower right cheek. We were able to have very simplistic conversations that quite literally went both ways without her saying a single word. Honestly, it blew me away. It was pretty crazytimes.

Do I believe this story to be possible? Maybe, but the story is fabricated. I fully accept that an autistic kid could communicate without words, I've seen it for myself with sign language. But what really shocks me is how well she can spell, especially the punctuation. I personally believe they edited a lot of what she said, adding in proper grammar, changed words around etc. But I still believe that the concept could be possible none the less.

Interesting.

My neighbours have an autistic child (girl, 19 now), and there is nothing interesting about her at all.

I do know on the other hand, that autistic people can be extremely creative with all kinds of things, which often allows them to be absolutely amazing at something.

This however.... I'll never believe it.

I find it so interesting that she dares to speak of other autists like she has met them all. When she mentioned that "Their" brain takes a 1000 pictures of someone's face, that's why "they" don't like to look at people.

How come a kid that hasn't learnt to write knows how to spell so well, also?
