So I got me a RAT 7.
I install the software/drivers.
Everything seems perfectly fine then I try to launch the profile editor and I get this:

Spoiler!

I emailed those fuckers already and haven't gotten a reply. No luck on google so far.
I don't even know what to do at this point.

Any help in determining what the actual problem is or how to solve it?

The only issue I can find of anything like my problem is addressed by installing .Net Framework 3.5 SP1. That is the only offered solution. All discussion seems to cease after that.
I have Windows 7 so I have 3.5 SP1 (I used a verifier) so I don't think that is the problem. BUT it is the only (closest solution) I have found so I still have a feeling that this might be the issue.

I'm going to ask this just once, but you made sure you got the drivers/software with correct bit version/os version right?

I sure did. I even installed older and newer versions of both the software and the drivers. You asked twice by the way lol.

I have an R.A.T. 7 as well, what i heard many people have is a problem with the 'out of the box' profile editor. I suggest deleting it and downloading it again from their site. After that, if it launches, go to support first and select your language and restart it.
Personally i didn't have any problems with it, but yeah...

ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/full/ ... rs_pfw.exe for drivers and
ftp://ftp.saitek.com/pub/software/full/ ... _64bit.exe for software.

Good luck =]

tried installing the drivers with the above executable, but it won't let me continue. (and yes the mouse is plugged in) I'm sure the drivers aren't the problem anyways so I'll just use one of the other ones.
Spoiler!

No matter which software version (for the mouse) I install I get the same error that I got in the first post.

The thing is I have verified that I have .Net framework 3.5 SP1
I also have 4.0, 3.0 SP2, and 2.0 SP2 installed. *I even installed version 1.1 SP1.

Spoiler!

this shit is stupid. and I still haven't gotten an email back.

Resolved.. Somehow.
