Lets say that you're a student in a university where you pay a lot of money every year, part of the money is for the books which is not optional to get, like 10,000$ for the books while they're sold outside the university for 400$, and you MUST pay for them.
Unlike other universities where every professor publish his own book for an affordable price and you buy it if you want.

How are they obligating you to pay for books? you have to show a paper confirming that you paid for books before you can pay everything else, so if you don't pay for books you can't pay for anything, which means you can't enter any exam.

The books' fees' confirming paper is just a small normal paper that you can scan and clear the handwritten information then then re-print.

Skipping the books part from the collage fees would be very helpful for you, would you forge the paper without any second thoughts?

Edit:
tl;dr: if you have to forge a paper to avoid a big payment, would you take the risk and do it?

Don't get it.

But to me it's like:

Any last-minute book addition for a certain class is ignored by me, permanently. If the teacher bitches that I HAVE to have that book if I even want to participate in that class, I'll just not show up. couldn't care less really. My school is so farked up, I'll just walk out of there with my diploma without doing shit. I have been accepted into the 4th year of my studies while I still have to do almost everything from the first year.

Couldn't risk the punishment. I doubt they would expel you from the uni, but that is a chance I wouldn't take.

Is this a real life scenario? I've had professors require their own (unbound) books which you could only get printed at the bookstore, but it wasn't required that you buy them there. In the one case that happened I was able to find a friend who had taken the same class/prof and paid $20 for it versus $60+ in the bookstore.

If ALL of your classes require the book be purchased from the bookstore you may have some sort of case. I don't think they can do that.

For $9600 **** yeah I would. The worst reasonable punishment would only be acad probabtion or something, basically a slap on the wrist.

Ofc, if they're assholes they could charge you with fraud and forgery and then you're farked, so decide which one your uni is and how much money you're actually saving.

Oh, regarding the choices, I would NOT forge for other people. Way too much risk, you can't stop other people from talking.

It's not about the classes, you must pay one fee for all year's books in order to pay other fees, get your id and enter the exams, but the professors themselves are not giving any attention to the books as they're sure that everyone will pay for them.

You can get the ISBN numbers of required readings months in advance. You can then buy them cheap online via used retailers or new on Amazon.

A lot of people like to sell their books after they finish the class. I like to keep them to use as references for papers. When you have a couple semesters worth of text books, you can finish most of your papers without ever visiting a library.
