Help me out homies.

So I've had this new comp. for a bit more than a month now. It never really was stable from the start (matter of fact I ended up reformatting on the third day because I derped on some nVidia drivers). As you'll see in this screenshot, my Windows Update have been failing constantly for the past month (I'm only showing one screenshot but there's at least 5 screenshots long of failed updates)
Spoiler!

My nVidia drivers also constantly fail. I've literally downgraded, upgraded, tried beta servers and wiped all drivers using cleaning tools like 25+ times with no real results. I'll get errors like this when playing games like GW2 or LoL.
Spoiler!

So as a result of these derpings, my games always crash within an hour, every time I shut down my PC it'll apply 28+ updates but it'll revert them all the day after when I boot it up. I'm considering reformatting but only if I know it'll solve the problem (as I wouldn't want to go through the hassle of transferring all my uni stuff for nothing). Oh and I never managed to get Java for Chrome to actually work. It'll install and then dissapear.

so u do magik to meh kk srf?

Specs
Spoiler!

Well I bet you already did some googling but uhm... One of my friend called me with this problem and I was like "yea i know windows is farked up sometimes but a restart usually solves it". And it did. So, assuming u tried that too -and since that was the only case I know of- check this:

and this one:

When u have those failure updates, it's mostly 1 update that fails & blocks all the rest.
Try installing each update separately, if all of them fail there most likely is a problem with windows or the windows installer/updater service

open cmd (as admin)
sfc /scannow

This will check the integrity of windows files, if it states: some errors could not be correct; your windows has some corrupted files. Sometimes these files aren't doing anything, sometimes they are very important and screw up the working of windows.

And when it comes to the nvidia error, last time I had that it was my graphic card which was failing. Replaced it with another nvidia card (which could run on the same driver) and never had error again. Put old card in other pc, same errors

If reinstalling 2 times doesn't fix problems, most of the time it's a hardware problem.

I'll try sfc/scannow when I get back home. Rebooting won't work as I've obviously rebooted several times in the past month lol. I want the "send back my laptop to Lenovo" option to be my really last resort because it took them a month just to deliver it to my house -_-

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
So you're right, there is some sort of corrupted file. What do now though?

Spoiler!

download another windows version with the latest updates included, burn on dvd or mount on usb, install a clean version, install the latest driver from nvidia website, if any problem still occurs then it will probably be hardware problem and you'll have to send it to lenovo.
also idk about warrenty rules, is installing a different version of windows against it?

Doesn't really matter what u install as long as:
U install it correctly, don't use 3rd party firmware etc..
Software that is correctly installed, will work on hardware that works correctly

Just install the version u have the license of (a real clean install, not the Image that is stored in the Lenovo recovery didk/partition) delete the partitions that are on the disk when asked where to install (if u install windows on ur current partition -> waste of diskspace + windows & windows.old folders)
Then download all the drivers from the lenovo website & download latest nvidia driver from nvidia.com
If u then still have issues with the graphics, the graphic card is broken -> Warranty

and corrupted windows files, never useful. So just go for the clean install & see what it gives

If u need extra help, just pm me

I still have my W7 Recovery CD that I burnt a while ago laying on my desk. Think I'll have to go for the clean install although I remember having problems with the CD before... Guess we'll see.
