I've thought about getting one for a while, but kind of seems useless unless you've graduated. Maybe in a year I'll get one.
It's never too early to get one. All the professors and people that you meet in college now may seem like nothing special but they could end up being a great reference or connection in the future. It only takes 5 minutes to make, it is worth it.
I agree with this.. LinkedIn is not so much for recruiting, but companies
DO check LinkedIn profiles when recruiting. Basically, it contains your
entire working history.
For those who think they don't need it because they're still studying, I
partly agree. You don't NEED it, but it does give you a chance to list
your working experience, your education, the projects you do during or
next to studying; everything anyone would want to know about your
professional career. Lots of business today is also done through
networking, so it offers a lot of opportunities.
Again, I know nobody
needs a LinkedIn profile, I'm just saying it
cancome in handy and, as Squirt stated, only takes 5 minutes to make.
