Hey folks!
So, I'm setting up a new Youtube channel before the official launch of the Ouya gaming console. I plan on posting gameplay videos, but I need someone to help me make a cool - and very short - intro for my videos.
The intro will only about 5-10 seconds long (we all hate long intr's - don't we?), and can essentially be very simple.
An intro a bit like this would be great:
Basically, just a few lines of text that comes in and moves out in a cool manner + some sound like in that video.
Let me know if anyone would be interested in helping me out either by sending me a PM here on the forum. I'll then get back to you.
What's in it for you? If you do make this intro for me, I'll be sure to link to your youtube channel or personal blog / portfolio website from the description of all my videos! If you are not interested in this, another option is that I might be able to pay a small incentive via Paypal if you can make something nice.

^But if you have to watch it regularly, it gets annoying. Back when I watched SRO vids, some ppl had intros over 40 seconds long and that was annoying.

Yeah, an intro should be short and catchy. A simple tune/sound that's recognizable along with a fairly simple, preferably minimalistic animation is what works best imo.

This could potentially mean quite an exposure as I will be upload videos quite so often. So.... would any of you guys be interested in helping me out?
However, I'm not that great with video editing, but I'll try to come up with a bit of input later today :] Expect a PM!
I thank thee! I shall be looking forward to hearing from you.

5 seconds is a very long intro for youtube vids. aim for 2.5 seconds at most. Or it better be as f*cking good as the disney or THX intro
It depends, really. Take a look at the video I posted at the top. The first 9 seconds of that video would work fine as an intro in my opinion.
ps. I still haven't received any PM's. I beg you folks, if anyone can make anything decent, please help me out here. I will be forever grateful!
It should have stopped at 3.5 seconds...ouya forum and the warp out animation, nothing more. The rest adds nothing but waiting time. just do it like machinima. Flash your logo for 2-3 seconds and gtfo. just start the vid.

I saw a video the other day with like 1:30 long intro. I wanted to murder him.

Well, as long as the "vids" allows us to skip the long intros by pressing a key or a button.. It shouldn't annoy you! lulz
I've never seen an annotation for skipping the intro on a YT vid. The only way to skip is to find where the actual vid starts and that takes a bit of time.

I've found that skipping to that little yellow bar on the videos often gets you to where the actual video starts, really
