Disorders called caffeine intoxication and caffeine withdrawal join the likes of heroin and alcohol dependence in the fifth edition of the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM)—the organization’s official list of mental disorders.

According to the DSM-5, too much coffee, cola or caffeine-laced gum can cause restlessness, nervousness, a red face and rambling speech. And stopping caffeine suddenly can cause sleepiness and depressed mood.

Is that really news? No, it isn’t. What is news is that the DSM-5, by overreaching so dramatically to pathologize every American and make all of us ripe for psychiatric medications covered by insurance, has finally helped all of us see the disservice the American Psychiatric Association (APA) is doing to America.

Maybe New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who famously and reprehensibly tried playing ‘Big Brother’ by banning oversized soda drinks, will be happy with the APA. He can attack Starbucks now for dosing potential addicts with 16-ounce cups of java and making so many people psychiatrically ill.

ROFL up there
Anyway, even though the coffee.. Taste Yucky! lulz
But that is ridiculous and so... is the fact that money was spent on this.

Btw: It's an addiction, not a mental disorder.

Drug dealers stand at corners..... theres a starbucks on every corner..
Drug dealers have odd names for their products...... starbucks has odd names for their coffee sizes
Drug dealers are usually school drop outs...... starbucks employees usually major in something useless

STARBUCKS IS AN INTERNATIONAL DRUG DEALING FIRM.

Starbucks peddles burnt flavored coffee; totally overkill their cup o' joe on the roasting.

Nah, it's kinda like beer to me - once you get used to it, you'll enjoy it. I used to drink coffee with 2 teaspoons of sugar, and that was only the non-instant coffee that you have to put into the filter. But once I had high blood sugar so I stopped doing that and at some point I also started drinking instant coffee. Now the non-instant coffee and coffee with sugar tastes bad.

I'm pretty sure.. I will never get used to coffee. It doesn't matter how much milk or sugar, I tried to add.
The coffee will still taste like crap! But I gotta admit, coffee does smell good. xD

Coffee smells great and tastes especially good right after waking up. Drinking another mug as we speak.
