so, i just got a call from someone at work, and he said " the projector has a crack in the plastic" so... i told him, if it still works, it should be alright as long as you be careful with it.
then he said "i cant use it, i am afraid of it, it is emitting radiation"
after that i just had to tell him "ok, then i guess just put it away and request from your ITC to get a new one"
lol... im sorry i just thought it was ..... hilarious that he is afraid of a projector because it has a crack in the plastic...

i have no knowledge about projectors, but if compasses crack, you will treat it as a NBC hazzard as there are radioactive materials inside

projectors dont "emit radiation"
if there is a little crack in the plastic, but yet it still works, then there is only a crack in the plastic and nothing more. heh.

Sure they do! Light is radiation. And you don't even need to crack the projector to be exposed! OMG!

you know only gamma radiation is bad for you and if its a plastic cover i doubt that would stop gamma radiation so i wouldnt worry hell i was using a mircrowave that made funny sounds without a second thought and that radiation can hard

bake is right, radiation is all around us. get a geiger counter and hold it anywhere and it'll make that weird click-ish sound. so technically that projector is emitting radiation, but it was emitting radiation even before there was a crack.

If i remeber correctly, UV rays from the sun are a type of radiation, so in a sense, radation is all around us.
