I had all mine done in a single afternoon. It's not fun, but it isn't that bad. Took me maybe a few days to fully recover. The worst part is hearing the dentist crack the tooth if it's too stubborn.
Back when I was in high school, I knew a guy who had his pulled and was back in school the next day as if nothing had happened. Some folks just get lucky. Or unlucky, depending on your point of view.

I'm sure it's not worse than having your front teeth pulled without painkillers. I never listened to my parents when they said "Don't jump on the bed" when I was a kid. Had to ride to the dentist with busted teeth bleeding everywhere.

I got them out all 4 at once. After being awake again it first felt good, but when your mouth isn't numb anymore, it starts to burn and hurt quite bad.
And you look like a hamster for some days ... eating solid food will be nearly impossible the first 2 days (would hurt like hell) ... but drinking some cool milkshakes or sth is fine as well
Well, about comp ... I tried to do the usual things with it, but talking isn't going too well and you might get some fever intervals (from upcoming "pain waves") ... but all in all it's not too bad, I was lucky that they pulled all 4 at a time ... nothing sux more than to have that hamster face twice or more often ;<
Swollen cheeks will go away after a few days and you'll be able to eat real food (MEAT! ) XD again
Good luck, don't worry (Hope US Docs have skills kekekeke ;P)

i had mine done all at once, but thats cause my 12 year old molars were never growing correctly. They grew at an angle so they pulled all my wisdom teeth to give those molars a chance to grow. It hurt bad but if they ask you if you want to go to sleep, say yes. Its a lot better. You wont be eating right for a while, i got stuck on the KFC mashed potatoes and gravy. Soft foods. It really sucked.

I suggest you buy a few milkshakes and put them in the freezer. They are great (and pretty much the only thing you can eat).
Also hope you don't get dry sockets (like I did). That is painful. The pain that not even Tylenol with codeine can get rid of.

MY fiance just got her pulled a month ago and her face was really swollen, and the dentist said that it wasn't as bad as it could have been. You'll have to get stitches and be on painkillers for about a week depending on how well you can take. She could barely open her mouth.
