you went on a holiday during your exam period? or u had your exam during your holiday? or your exam is your holiday? or what the hell is going on? that doesn't make any sense.

i had exams and then 3hrs after the last exam i went for a 10 hr flight to hongkong then 4 hr to beijing stayed beijing 3 days and then a 1:15 flight to xi'an(chang an) and then stayed 7 days and went back beijing for the rest my 7days
Beijing changed so much, they doing this "Making China Green" thing they planted tons of trees and grass. Other than that too much of a change just another city thats the size of a province with skyscrapers covering you everywhere you go, i didnt like it that much.
but xi'an changed so much it used to be so crap in the small alleys and it was so dirty before but now its much cleaner more trees and they have this huge park in central city, when i say big it's really really big.

I'm comparing now with 3 yrs ago (last time i went back to china)
after this trip i truly understand, what they mean by "Face is really important to government"
There was also this anti japan thing about all the shrine visiting, China changed all its taxi's to Beijing Hyundai got rid off the old Japanese cars and everything Japanese was selling really bad I hunted so many places in Beijing for Butterfly but most places only sell DHS now. Some people told me people who drove Japanese Cars often get their cars smashed by the rioters on the roads like 2months ago.

Do you have friends being tour guides?
Places you should see:

Beijing but not now its all construction right now so when its windy its really dirty. They've 5 times expanded the city. If you want to eat Beijing duck don't eat at quan ju de the most famous place, they suck now they don't no how to make ducks they just fool foreigners and people not from beijing go to places like hongqing roast duck etc. Beijing has food from all over the world.

Xi'an its been China capital for 13 dynasties and the strongest dynasties were in Xi'an the weak, corrupt shitty ones were in Beijing
Xi'an is new name for Chang'an (Jang'an) you see terracotta army , qin tomb and it's the last city in the world that has a complete wall surrounding it and the wall was built in the Han Dynasty which makes it 2000 years+ age.Try the Xi'an snacks (not potatoe chips stuff but stuff like rice noodle etc)

don't go Shanghai, unless you want to see Jing Wu sport school where the modern chinese martial art started. other than that its a chinese tokyo completely just huge roads and building and a political centre.Full of shit.

Luoyang Ancient capital of the earliest dynasties of China full of ancient historical architecture. Bad thing is not as developed and modern as other city. But since this is in Henan its not far from the Shaolin Temple.

try not to go to too many southern province places like guangzhou fuzhou etc but diffenently go to
ShenZhen everything is extremely cheap there China's urban shopping city, you can real stuff real cheap even if they're imported like gucci etc because China has not goods and service tax and Shenzhen is major port so it's even cheaper than beijing they don't need to transport

Bad thing about China even though it sounds really good but theres a big economical gap between people, the poor people are extremely poor the rural areas suck extremely so try not go rural areas
anyways China is somewhere i highly suggest you go

Centre of Asia
Biggest of Asia
Most Ancient of Asia
Fastest Developing of the world

I know I might upset a lot of people for saying this, but seriously go to China before you go anywhere else in Asia infact possibily in the world.
It's probably the best place to travel in possibly the safest for tourists in Asia.

lol, china crazy now heh?

anyhow, im going back to china on June 18th after my exam, staying there till late August (stupid university). i think im going to shenzhen first (where my dad is), then shanghai (where my cousin is, and i haven't been there for like 10 yrs  ). then hefei (u probably don't know, it's the capital of Anhui, where my grandparents and my other cousin are), finally i go back to shenzhen to get to HK to take the plane back.

the sad part is i may not be able to play SRO for 2.5 month :banghead: since my grandparents don't have good computer + average internet. plus i may get so addicted to chinese TV and food that i forget about SRO :P

ooh Hefei, hehehe i don't know a lot about that place apart from some geographical stuff and they have big markets there for cotton and many other raw materials.
Hehehe Chinese food in Shenzhen is alright as well
If you really want to play SRO go to a internet cafe they ahve those all over the places like Shenzhen and shanghai. atleast they had it there 3 years ago the worst they do is ban school ppl from internet cafes but the internet cafe boss dun give a crap.Anyways i donno, they've been banning alot of shit lately

which i don't care because:
1. im not a chinese citizen, therefore im not even registered in their school system :D they cant prove im a student
2. technically i will no longer be a student because this is my last year of highschool, and there are people who don't go to post-secondary education... i can pretend im one of those people

however, i doubt internet cafe in china would have iSRO, and downloading it is kinda time wasting...

hehe our apartment in Beijing is in the Olympic village so they just competing right next door to us.
Not surprised that you've never hurd of Luoyang, it used to be the biggest city in Henan province where all the Han Chinese originated but the communist left it as a ancient relic(smart move I thank them for that)
so now ZhengZhou is biggest in Henan. Anyways I haven't been to Luoyang forever so I'm not sure on its current situation so just look forward to it if ur going but dont drive there.
Anyways you guys really should enjoy the massive highway in China It's like 8 lanes wide I could go to Tianjin from Central Beijing in like 30 minutes
lots people go 160km/h +

50yuan and only 8 hr? that's kinda expensive, considering you can buy a high lvl character for a few hundred. maybe that's just WoW tho...

i think i'll make my cousin hand grind for me. i'll just tell him it's good opportunity for him to learn english :D

lol, and yea its WoW price because in WoW they have to hav atleast alittle english cuz its a bit more complicated. and if u can find handgrinders its cheaper but those are harder to find than internet cafes, my uncle had a friend who ran a internet cafe+grinderfarm in Xi'an it costs $20 per 8 hr period for the hour system and other one for mission system e.g
$250 for hand grind a char in wow to 60 in 2 weeks
he also ahd a gold farmer network with 8 2nd hand pc's auto grinding for gold

hehehe i understand question is,

Where did you go?

When did you go? before 2004?

Do you have a fair income in USD or Euro?

most importantly
did you have a hired tour guide?
If yes, I've not known one Chinese tour guide that does not no shit about China and left the poor villages in rural areas to be a tour guide and not a farmer.Everyone who went with tour guide never went again.

and prices are like this in america a ummmm.... gameboy advance cost $150USD? In China a GBA would be around 325RMB
