Actually, think it goes both ways. AWOL stands for Absent Without Official Leave when used in military terms, but I think when you say it in reference to civilians, you could use it as Absent Without Leave.
Whatever, I think IceCrash gets the point.

Never heard anybody use it like that before, but it actually makes sense.

Because if you're botting, then you're absent, right? And since it's against the ToS, then it's like, without leave. Hehe.
