I was just wondering whether Aesop or Anderson's stories made a bigger impression on you guys when you were little, and which memory lingers more. My friend and I are having an argument on it right now and it is entering the third hour and I just thought it'd be fun to ask around here.
Aesop:
The Tortoise and the Hare
The Boy Who Cried Wolf
To name a few.
Andersen:
The Little Mermaid
The Emperor's New Clothes
The Ugly Duckling
To name a few.
I'm for Andersen because of all the Disney conversions but my friend is for Aesop as she believes that the moral lessons are taught at such a young age and adopted in so many modern T.V. shows it has more influence. Thoughts?
