Which one do you use out of the following? Just today I started using p2p for the first time in my life (yes first time). I got Ares Galaxy and it workslike a charm but im wondering if theres something better.

so i tried utorrent and i cant really see a speed difference from ares (not yet anyways)
you guys got any tips on how to teak the preferences to increase the speed?
also you guys use peerguardian2 with your p2ps right?


**another note: whenever i pause a torrent in utorrent, it just keeps downloading, is this normal? or should i stop the torrent if i want to "pause" it?

Pause keeps your links with your seeds alive. While stop does not.

Used to do that but now I rarely use Opera just when testing my web pages.

hey when i right clikc a torrent under properties>>at the bottome of the screen theres initial seeding, enable dht, and peer exchange. what are they for?

also if i lower my upload does it also lower my download rate?

I hope you guys don't mind me bumping this thread a little with a question. (:
Just exactly how safe is a program like uTorrent? Isn't it easier to slip in viruses and trojans because there are people who download entire albums or movies?

I used BtiComet most but then.. I had some trouble it wouldnt connect properly to the internet so i ran it along with BitTorrent too see wich 1 dl'd faster and the winner was BitTorrent.
so now im happy with BT

When I used to download stuff, I never got any viruses downloading music. Usually if there are viruses included, people will stop seeding thus why its quite safe. You can usually torrent content before you start downloading anyway.
